It's possibly because you are on the edge of two GOB areas, so it just doesn't show fully. Try splitting the port/town to make two separate parts and see if that does it.

DD,
Re-dark area around village. I think you'll find that it is either the flatten or the scenery is too low for the mesh.
You can see the same in my pics of the cliffs, where the rear of the bgl cliffs are below the land/mesh, and you get that effect. It is accentuated at different times of the day.
Try lifting either flatten or scenery a little.
Tell me what else item-wise ie boats/tanks/LCMs/beach obstacles/wrecks etc you really need? And if non-destructable then exact location co-ordinates for a bgl.
Cheers

Thanks All,
I've removed Gius's villages and am making them all by hand from maps of their roads and old 1944 photos.
The reason I made the cliffs GSL was to preserve FPS and in MB if too many objects are used it won't save. GSL cures that.
A GSL question: I modified Port-en-Bessin and when I re-GSL'd it I now only have a third of the town on the east side of the canal.
No matter what I do, I cannot get the entire town to reload as GSL.
How do I fix that?

DD,
Had fun building these over the weekend. The UC I ripped from IL-2 and then modded, the stripped version, which I think still looks pretty good is only 57kb (complete one is 181kb).
The LeFH arty is only 38kb with crew, and 27kb on it's own, with two texs I did.
The tank traps, I did cube and pyramid in concrete, individual ones are 2kb, and the fields are up to 264kb, and the steel hedgehog is 6kb and 140kb for the field, so a very low poly count.
Either I'll upload here as bgls and then you can GSL them, or PM me with your email.
Cheers

ps Also Re-did Euro sea, another version..I think it fits the blustery, dull weather type of sea for D-Day, but not too dark for summer, and better than my or other lighter seas.
Shessi,
If you would like to do so, how about uploading to the SOH Library so they are available to everyone once the D-Day Campaign: OPN Overlord and other associated OPNs to D-Day is done?

The scenery progress looks quite interesting so far.
I understand the poly count is fairly low for each object, but if you plan to put hundreds or thousands of them on the beaches (plus dozens of Atlantic Wall bunkers and coastal defence) I fear the impact on frame rate will still be awful...
