In the upcoming week we expect to release the GAS Super Stearman for 2020. That is what it was developed for and that is what we will support as a “native” 2020 model fully featured. As for compatibility with 2024, folks cool your jets! That platform has only been out a week and the SDK is unfinished, the sim is immature, and bugs abound. We have tested the model in 2024 and it is compatible as a “Legacy” aircraft in Free Flight mode, ONLY! We will not entertain support requests for issues with 2024 there are too many unknowns. We are still adapting to Asobo’s change in how pilot and co-pilot avatars appear in the cockpit. We expect that to be resolved soon. As for developing native 2024 models? That is at least a year away.Good morning,
To be clear with all those who read my posts: none of GAS Stearman is currently 100% compatible with FS24 according to the criteria I stated above.
I’ve been working for more than 3 weeks to see exactly what needs to be done and I’m testing various solutions: that’s the only thing I can say.
Thanks to read me.
There is a how to video on YouTube and linked in the owner’s manual. That said to take away a statement from Bigradials #justflytheplane. Cntrl+E bypasses all that as does page 2 of the EFB “Ready to Taxi”Hello,
In view of the last posts, I think we misunderstood or perhaps I did not explain well :
- this aircraft allows to manage wear & tear BUT for those who do not want to use this function, they have in the glove box, a switch that allows to remove the wear of the last flight and start the flight with a completely new engine.
This operation takes only 5 seconds before starting the engine.
For those who are even more rushed, I have even added everything that was necessary to make the sequence CTRL+E work perfectly: the programmed sequence takes into account the various steps of a standard engine start plus the functions added on this aircraft.
The only thing that is imposed is the use of the engine which must be done seriously:
1 - heating the oil (you should wait 40°C) before starting and then
2 - not using the engine outside of the operating areas.
I don’t think you’d mind ... but I understand that everyone uses the simulator as they want![]()
Tom no one is flaming the thread put the blanket away. If you like multi engine aircraft we have some fun coming your way 3rd quarter 25Please people, let's stick to the plane's development here. If you're not interested in the plane for whatever reason and need to express that, then doing so in a respectful tone is allowable. Calling someone out when they do is not, regardless of your opinion or the tone of their post. There is a "Report" link under each post if you feel a post has crossed any sort of line - please use that if you feel the need.
As for me, the mandatory wear goes against my normal flying habits, since I like to just be able to jump in and fly. I'm also more a fan of small to medium multi-engine GA.
Please consider this my "wet asbestos blanket" post. I don't want to pull the handle on the hangar-filling foam generators....
