• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

  • Server side Maintenance is done. We still have an update to the forum software to run but that one will have to wait for a better time.

Flightsim.com up for sale

We're not talking Multiplayer here... Everyone flew on their own time and posted each Flight independenty in a dedicated Thread along with a few Screenshots of their Flight.

Oh, and although some are chatting about passing the plate around to pay for monthly Server fees, what current Management's looking for is a Proposal for taking over and Managing the entire Site, including the FlightSim online Store. I read that and think 5 figures, minimum.

The 'principals' are looking for a Proposal which entails taking over Administration of the Site, the Forum, the FlightSim Store and what the prospective Business Plan will be.

It's not like taking over a BBS and footing the Bill for Bandwidth; the Store in itself means a Business License, Sales Tax License, Licensing Agreements with the Product suppliers, and everything else necessary to be an Online Retailer. I don't think they've taken that into consideration.

Have to admit I miss the Holiday Sale there when you could get FS9 Carenado stuff for like $5... that's how I built up my Carenado collection!
I knew I should have gotten the Beechcraft Baron back then. :confused:

An awkward time for our events. HeliFest 2 starting Sept. 1st, and then the Great Air Race in Oct.
I'm going to add a note when HeliFest starts that should FlightSim stall, spin, and burn, I'll move the event here to SOH.
Who know, this might be where us rotorheads will migrate.
 
There are a few of us here who fly helos from time to time. I am still trying to get used to them in P3D v4.5 (the physics are different to FSX:SE) but I haven't flown them in a while.
