Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

P3D/P4D screenshots redux...oops!

Biarritz from Simzaleak is the scenery I used. A great freeware addon. Shot at the end of the runway.

I wrestled a copy of that airport and it works swimmingly well in P3D V5.
This is what that airport is like for real ala' youtube

From reading the PDF install manual it looks like this scenery was for P3D V3 but I managed to put add it to P3D V5 and seems okay.

Mind your tongue young man! :ROFLMAO: One of my favorite addons! Great plane to fly. I even did repaints for it. The 30 that comes with it is from me. The one you see here too.

A small prop turning very quickly can produce the same thrust as a larger prop turning more slowly, plus, as it's a Naval plane, a small prop fits into a tightly packed hangar on a carrier better. In addition, it is a turbo-prop engine so you also get a bit of extra thrust from the jet engine exhausts.

Cees, I didn't mean to be critical, I'm sure if it really flies they engineered it right, just saying it looks odd is all.
Okay Ted. I didn't think anything of it. :friendly_wink:I only wanted to show the real plane. I think the color of the propdisk should be darker.
I'll see what I can do.:friendly_wink:
