Last weekend, my M$ account was hacked and I got warnings at night when I was asleep that my M$ account was hacked. How they did it, I have no idea because my PC is well-secured and all my browsers run in a sandbox. I work in IT so you could say that I'm pretty security conscious. Anyway, when I couldn't get in my account anymore and my MSFS were inop, I alerted M$ of this and provided them with all the info they needed. Believe me, the questions they ask are pretty intrusive, but hey, I did.
It took them two days to look into this, and then I got the following answer:

I haven't lost the sims, they were bought through Steam, but all the market place purchases are now lost. IMHO, this is outrageous; They can see the account that took over my account, they were provided with my elaborate answers, and then they do this to a loyal customer of + 20 years. That is pretty disgusting.
You can imagine that this is not the best day of my flightsimming life.
Micro$oft are effing thieves and they don't protect their customers, neither do they care about us. For them, it's the dosh.
