l've been busy trying to get some old favorites from FS9 up and going for FSX. I found a FSX native model set for the old Manfred Jahn L749 Constellations at California Classics, so I thought I'd give them a whirl. Dug through my back up files and found the rest of the aircraft in an old FS9 backup install and went to work.
1) Rolling Stones Tour plane parked at the old Memphis Terminal. Mick and the boys picking up Elvis?
2) Late 40s ish MATS C-121
3) Kind of 50s ish MATS VIP C-121
3) Had a devil of a time starting it and not sure how I did it, but got the old Merc Air Connie back up in the air.

Good luck getting the 'Whale' into Kitty Hawk Willy! Rob and I did it in a DC-3/C-47 last night and it was a bit tight! 
Darn, haven't posted any pics here since last year...
Found some old paints for Milton's XA-38 Grizzly that I was working on several years ago and never finished. Also notice that he'd set it up for bump maps and specs. Ought to keep me busy for a while trying to remember how I did those.

I'll try to keep this FSX forum alive by posting here some screenshots of orphaned aircrafts I like, FSX native projects made by talented designers, unfortunately unfinished, and now hard or impossible to find.
Here's the ShinMaywa US-2 by Team FS KBT, both from Japan. FSX native but no VC and no landing gear (so sad about this missing gear animation thing, can't this be fixed with McX? The gears are there in the model. Or maybe Hiroaki or Daisuke has a working version stashed somewhere?). I fly her with default B747 VC (grey version), yes I know that's a sin, but it has 4 throttle levers, and glass cockpit looks similar to the real one, not to mention almost correct height from ground level. Here's de Havilland Vampire FB5-9 by Igor Suprunov, wonderful exterior with many HD textures, but sold with no VC (can't find it online anymore). I fly it with Bob Richardson's Vampire cockpit, which is very nice too, but has only low resolution textures unfortunately. Igor was a real A319 pilot, made some great models (Yak 40) but lost his life too early in a glider accident.

Another lost opportunity, HJG Caravelle, easily converted to FSX with McX, but grounded for ever... Mine is merged with JF Comet VC.
Aeroplane Heaven version for FSX/P3D never released either... Maybe for MSFS one day...

Model Converter X is a tool originally designed to convert a model from one format to another but has expanded over the years to do many great things.
Great screenshots! I used the France VFR regional scenery in my FS9 days and it was really high quality although very resource intensive, so I never bought their regional scenery for FSX although I have been tempted! I do however have many of the France VFR airports and I also use their TrueLandscape France and Obstacles and VFR Landmark products which together provide an amazing enhancement to the appearance of France in FSX akin to that provided by the Orbx regional sceneries for other areas.

For anyone interested in bush flying in Papua New Guinea, in addition to the great Orbx scenery for the area, Pacsim produce Raw Grit: PNG Bush flying which provides a load of additional airfields for this fascinating area some of which are illustrated in the attached screenshots.
