Marker Sounds

It's driving me crazy, somehow all maker sounds are enabled and cannot be turned off. Nonstop Morse code from ADF, VOR1, and VOR2. Switches on the radios or audio panel have no effect, CNTRL+3 visibly actuates switches/lights but the sound continues. This is any aircraft, any radios, so obviously a system or config issue ...but what?

What have you changed recently? New aircraft, maybe new scenery, stuff like that.

Nothing new but creating a few panels and a couple of liveries, tweaked some weather settings in fsuipc. So far the only way I can have peace and quiet is tuning all radios off channel (and navigate by gps).

Did you add some new switch and radio gauges?
If so, were any of them meant for FS2K, FSX, or P3D?

I'm pretty sure the answer is right in front of you.
Something isn't compatible with FS9, at least its turning on stuff it shouldn't.
