Who knows of a good Lysander, with vc? Either payware or freeware. I've searched the net but did not come up with something for FS2004!

Alphasim/Virtavia has a really nice one for FS2004. It was payware when I got mine, but check the AlphaSim Freeware page. It's an older model so they may have released it as freeware.
 
FWIW, when Alpha became Virtavia they released almost all their old payware as freeware, updating FS2002 models for FS2004. Over the years they've reworked many for FSX or later, these were removed from the freeware lists. But some can still be found on sites where they were uploaded years ago.

I hope to download the Lysander tomorrow. I want to use the aircraft to replicate ww2 covert missions, flying to occupied territory during night time, and landing in some foreign fields...
 
I think this is the version you want -
"CFS2/FS2002/FS2004 "WestLand Lysander Special Operations" FSDSv2.x Model, air file, Aircaft.config, Panel, Textures., Scenedb and Object_dp, by Jim Jacobson: email redacted to stop spammers harvesting the data. Released as freeware-June 2004.
This is the special operations version of the Lysander used in convert transport and recon.
Paint scheme was for night flights over the channel and into occupied Europe."

I believe you need the base version of this plane to use these files (don't have it installed, just noticed this file in my archives).
