Canadair CL-44

Greeting everyone!
Returning Flight Simmer from about 10 years ago, STILL have Flight Simulator 2004.
I was wondering has anyone made a Canadair CL-44 for FS2004, (apart that is from Mike Stone''s basic model)?
I remember, one was done, in Flying Tigers livery, but I forget who did it, and it is now unavailable.

Can anyone enlighten me please?

I believe the CBFS file is a WIP that was never finished (the creator passed away unfortunately) but it works just fine as is.

There must be something wrong with my browser, Canadair does not show!
You have to be logged in to see the files , stops drive by downloaders

Afternoon Pete,

Now WHY didn't I think that?! 🤣

Cheers

That's strange.
At AVSIM: more than 20 hits, Google: more than 10 hits, SimViation: 5 hits with base model from Mike Stone.
Maybe there is something wrong with your search method, browswer etc.?
Morning Scotty

I managed to get it in the end, browser issues, simply reset it!

I also sometimes get 'Search' issues.
Sometimes my search gives nothing, & then sometimes later, it does find what I'm looking for.

If you are searching here more words that are longer than three letters usually gives better results. It also helps if the up-loader added 'tags' to the entry as the forum search engine looks for 'tags' first and then the rest.

I've often found that when I searched for a type of aircraft and entered in the search window I just get an error message saying my search term is insufficient. I've pretty much given up on finding anything in our library once it drops off the latest uploads list.

What a model! What a manual! I thought there was a bug on control surfaces until I saw the control tabs move and then the surfaces streamline as speed built up. What an effort. Far above what my 40-knot brain can handle. Made me think back to seeing the old Eastern DC-9's parked at Logan with one elevator full up and the other full down...until the hydraulics powered up, I think.

The search function is actually quite powerful IF you give it enough to work with. Your statement "I just get an error message saying my search term is insufficient" is telling you just that, your search terms are too short. Let me try to give you an example ..........

.... a search for P-51 gives .....

ooops.jpg

.... a search for P-51 Mustang gives 10 pages of hits (with the addition of a single word) .....

mustang.jpg
That may be too many results but it can be made more specific. If you are looking for a P-51 aircraft model for FS2004 for example you can cut down the list by still putting 'P-51 Mustang' in the first search window but then selecting the following in the 'Search in categories' section (Note: Always check the 'Search child categories as well' box to ensure all the sub-categories in that section are searched too).

That gives the following results:

The same can be done for any of the other categories too and you can combine categories by clicking on multiple lines.

As I said above the search engine is very powerful but YOU have to feed it the correct information, it cannot read minds and know what you want instinctively!
