Rudder help

Finally getting FS9 up and running, but having dificulty setting up my Saitek (madcatz/logitech) X52. My rudder twist stick doesn't work right, it treats nuetral as far right deflection and works from there twisting left. From centre to far right deflection does nothing. I do seem to remember this happening many years ago, maybe windows 10, but can't remember how I fixed it. Anyone any clue?

Also, how do you screen capture when prt scn just task switches out of the sim to bring up the snipping tool? It is good, but not in sim.

With controllers, I've learned that SIMPLER IS ALWAYS BETTER. Your calibration menu and key assignments are in the OPTIONS pull-down. I've been using the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for a long time. It has just enough buttons to get me in trouble and I currently have four of them. Two stay "mission ready" for a quick swap-out when one them is ready for a re-build. One stays wrapped in its box. One is basically a bone-yard parts donor. One thing you should never forget, like me- YOUR JOYSTICK HAS TO PLUG INTO SOMETHING. A LOT of the basic problems can be cured by just unplugging and reseating your stick cable. That connection will get sloppy over time. I keep my key assignments really basic. The main buttons are assigned normally and I also include WING FOLD and SST Nose Drop and Nose Raise. The rest stay on my keyboard (<shift><w>, <i>, etc.).
Anyway, try running the calibration menu. You may need to wait for W11 to phone home for drivers. Try re-seating that cable a couple of times.

2). Screen shots. I've been using Paint Shop Pro 6 since the mid-1990's. PSP *kind of* has its own PRNT SCRN routine so all I have to do is hit the key then open PSP and load what's in the Clipboard. :wiggle: Its been the same since Win 98, so I don't bother that much with what Win11 wants.

and in Win 11, the default method is Windows Start + PrtScn to take a screenie; PrtScn by itself will simply bring up the snipping tool

Thanks guys. I'll keep trying. I had solved this before, but was many, many years ago.

Wonder if it's possible to swap it so the snipping tool comes up with windows key+prtScn? Off to investigate.
 
There is no actual calibration tool with this stick, always perplexed me somewhat. It apparently does it on the fly. The test within the 'old' joystick properties shows the rudder twist working correctly, so it must be the sim itself. The plot thickens. Will try again this evening.
