fs9 Config

Hello,
I'm looking for the location of the fs9 config file. In cfs2 this file is located in the main program folder, but in fs9 I can't find it, must be somewhere else.
Maybe someone with more computer knowledge than mine can help and point me in the right direction?
I'm running the sim on a win7 computer.

Wolfgang, have a look at a program called 'Everything' from https://www.voidtools.com/
It is a desktop search engine that searches as you type.
So, if you start typing fs9.cfg, it will immediately find it for you.
It's probably the quickest search engine for Windows & you will find it extremely useful.
 
look under C>Users>*your user name>app data>roaming>microsoft>fs9 (in Win 10)

where the > represents a clicky, youl need to have view hidden files /folders enabled to see the App Data folder

Thanks for that link Wolfgang. I'd never heard of that before and it seems to work very well after a couple of test searches. I can see me using that a lot rather than manually digging through long folder trees to get where I want to go! I like the right-click options when a file is found so that you can open the file/folder directly from the search window. đź‘Ź
 
I used "Everything" for a while, until it asked for payment. Then I installed "UltraSearch". It's very performing, and allows to search even in external disks and Clouds.

There is a 'Donate' button on their website, & also in the 'help' tab, but it never asks or nags for any sort of payment.
Everything can also be combined with 'PowerToys's Command Pallete search as well as "OneCommander', which is my replacement file manager.
