Screenshots!

@Bravo/4 The Wellington was the first model I ever put together. I must have been about 10 years old. That’s a bit of a nostalgic moment.

Yea I built the Airfix version, back in the early 70's, I remember it had nice box artwork, as did all airfix kits of that vintage.

Regards the CFS3 MAW Wellington, fond memories of working on that, it was the first full model I worked on in the project. It was just a basic model with no pit when I picked it up, Greg did a great job, finished it off nicely.

Also Mathias's Fw 190, that never saw the light of CFS3, never even got a pit, but so cool to work on anyhow!

I thought the shots looked surprisingly good considering we didn't have Ankors shaders back then!

G,
That's excellent terrain texture shadowing!

Just possibly a little too 'rough' look on all the fields? But those light yellow 'cereal crop' fields look so real.

Always blown away at these pics of what Ankor's shaders can do.

Yeah, particularly the middle distance bumps are a bit much. Not sure there is much that can be done, but there are a couple settings yet to experiment with.

Ok, I need some honest feedback - I'm working with horizon haze colors, and after dozens of subtle changes, my eyes start to loose their calibration to reality. Specifically in terms of hue, saturation, and brightness of the haze, how do the above two shots look? Consider the appearance of the haze both above and below the horizon line.

Not too worried about the thickness or density of the haze at this point, since that is a quick setting I put in the shaders already that users can adjust for taste and weather conditions as desired.

G,

Ha ha yes, there is weather, vis and colours like that at some point in the year.

To me, these pics, represent either a late evening in summer or an early evening in autumn.

The colours/hues/sat look really good and very realistic.

Being near the coast you do get that amount of haze due to the humidity levels. But do you get it at all times of the year? or at that level? No, but it is very common, and does affect vis a lot of the time. But as you say that can be down to user adjustment for personal taste.

You could send yourself tweaking mad, but looks very good to me!

Cheers

I swear half the time I look at that shot of the Blenheim I think something is off, and other times I like it a lot. There are so many pieces that need to be adjusted and balanced, and the adjustments are often only a percentage point or two to make a noticeable difference. It's enough to drive you batty.
