F-CK-1A Ching-Kuo

I'm trying to run it through Aircraft Container Manager but, for some reason, it isn't displaying properly. I will persevere.

One thing it did show is that the CoG, as you surmised, is way off. Again, if I can get it to display properly I will see if I can tweak it

Andy, the tire diameters/radius would be handy. (y)
I think I'm close but on a MDL this old its hard to tell.
I wish I could talk to Kaz, I'm pretty sure he used the old trick of building the basic MDL in Flight Shop (the OG MDL design software) then used another program called Scenery And Object Designer (again, OG design software) to make some extra stuff, then glue it all together with a hex editor.
I'm still trying to tune the damping ratio, that takes time and small changes can make a big difference.
Its a lot more stable on the ground but it still wanders like a sailor on shore leave. At least it doesn't tip over. :wiggle:

This is the fun part, the little tweaks take time but they pay off.

Sbob/Andy, ive created a new thread on the forum. I'll be posting further updates there. Would be good to keep stuff all in one spot :)

Keeping Kaz in mind, if one of the Mods would review this thread and delete any of the zip file updates I've posted that might violate Kaz's wishes, I would appreciate that. :ernaehrung004:

not to deviate but if interested, there is also a more detailed one (albeit only clean) by Kimitaka Nishida, Atsushi Terui / Coral-FLT https://www.flightinfo.jp/coral/f-15hangar.html complete with panel and VC and also available at simviation https://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=Kimitaka+Nishida,+Atsushi+Terui+/+Coral-FLT&categoryId=31

cheers!
A superb model, much better than the Iris F-15, imo. The only frustration is that the donationware F-15DJ is no longer obtainable, that was equally good; i bought it at the time but, of course, it has gone the way of my other backups. šŸ”„ Yet another one of those models vanished into the ether. šŸ˜ž

Did someone mention the Coral/KBT Eagle? :wiggle:

This is FS2002, BTW. Somewhere above Alaska, its above FL200 because the burner flames have turned blue.
I also tried to find the D model, but too late. I'm thinking that a deal was made with IRIS/DSB?
