FS2004 Screenshots Here!!!

The Island of Barra, at the southern end of the Western Isles (Scotland), with a daily scheduled service to Glasgow. The schedule is dependent on the tide, landings and take-offs only possible at low tide as the sands are the runway. The route is mostly served by twotters (for a while they used Shorts 360s but islanders complained it was aptly named as more often than not it did a 360 degree pass over the sands and decide conditions were not good enough and returned to Glasgow without landing).

It’s a fun route to try in a simulator.

Garry Smith's Ford Tri-Motor Project has some great sceneries, aircraft & paints that are a worthy add-on for GW & Retro flying.
The link to it is right here at the top of this SOH forum...

Just what I'm looking for. I suppose you're going to tell me you got it from Flightsim. 😁

reminds me, in the context of the post earlier by @leuen concerning Dade-Collier / Everglades Mega-Jetport that never came to be, of the similar Maplin-Sands (Mega-) Airport & Seaport that was under build-consideration in the potentially reclaimed tidal mudflats / sandbanks in the Thames Estuary off the coast of Essex, but ultimately shelved - a great read: https://www.key.aero/article/sands-time and includes schematics of airport model / layout

Does anybody have the Barra Scenery: My_Barra_v2.zip from flightsim.com ?

Listed here: https://pbook.jp/?p=3646

As it seems, this is a Photoreal Scenery… i remember i had it once but lost it due to a HDD Crash…

There’s also a pretty good one of barra, by Soarfly Concepts… allthough it is for FSX… so it needs to be converted.. if anybody can do that… let me know… you’ll find it on Avsim Library: https://library.avsim.net/search/basic/root/Barra_XHD.zip

AndyG43, Wolfebee89, yes it is from the Scotflight V2.1 for FS9, an oldie but goldie. I still use it for flying in Scotland although major airports (Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Prestwick) have been replaced by other scenery.
I had a quick look at the scotflight@visualflight.co.uk web site and it has mostly gone, although the forum might still be alive for registered members.

Well, I was thinking about flying down to San Diego from LeMoore for some "Welcome Home" fly-bys but I did the whole deployment using real-time weather and it looks like the crappy weather in the Gulf followed the CVG back to the states. :indecisiveness:
Way too cloudy to fly low-and-slow next to a busy airport and in the So-Cal traffic.
Aircraft is the Area51 UH-1Z Venom, which I like the more I fly it. The main rotors will also "bow" when you add power/cyclic. :wiggle:
I've also been playing with the "decals" to either tone-down the contrast or add to it.

Maybe because they actually have a massive storm system, building up to a Hurricane in the next few days, (ISAIAS) moving east from Mexico towards the florida Penhandle… and also two Storm systems (RACHEL & SIMON) near the pacific coast... warnings have been issued by the national hurricane center… on https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/
