add-ons wish list

I would like to have the AI land and park on a carrier and then be able to respot for another mission.I would like to see the AI taxie from a parking spot to the active and takeoff.

I think I know which one you were talking about, it was called RAF Down pilot.I can`t remember where I got it from when I had it.

I would like to see german light AA artillery mounted on towers for use in airbases. That was common in 1943/44, and it would make them more visible.

Also Paris scenery.

And specially to be able to shoot back as a gunner when you are flying in a bomber. If not you are a sitting duck unless you are surrounded by a very compact flight of B17 or B24.

And some missions against V1 launching sites. I remeber there was one mission with it´s scenery but I have lost it.

With the life raft a Channel rescue mission could be done using a flying boat, both german like the Do18 or Sea Otter

Cheers, Discus

I´d also add to my wish list parachutists as a load for the C47 and Ju52.

With that, and the using newer computers, missions could be made for Holland, Crete, D-Day and Operation Market Garden.

Also... a DP with a bomb load of chaff and a FX of a cloud of chaff that floats in the air and slowly goes down over a looooong time... that way we can make missions with AI bombers dropping "window", chaff windows to cover bombers agaisnt radar.

In the MB you can then make an event that if you fly , or AI planes fly away such-and-such distance from the chaff, then enemy CAPs spawn to represent radar picking up an intercetp vector for the bombers.

uhmmm... it will be small indeed. How baout a life raft that when you get close shoots a flare or puts colored die into the water... that way you can then see it

....life raft. I still have the original source file that you sent. She's 30' long as we discovered that it is virtually impossible to see a scale raft in CFS2. :engel016:

Dirtman knicked it...he now has a virtual 'bouncy castle' in his backyard.:icon_lol::icon_lol:

There is a parachutist somewhere. I think T_R used them with his C-119? They were adapted for use with the stock C-47 IIRC, and an airdrop cargo created as well?

I may have just dreamt it all though, and wake up in the shower.:monkies:

In spite...

Hold on guys, I think the .mdl file has messed up again. I'm now getting her with the bow 50' in the air and the stern awash, anybody else getting the same?

regards Collin:ernae:

...of the fact that I could not duplicate this problem, I have replaced the download at CG's Shipyard with a file that Collin says works for him. :engel016:

...actually two parachutists...one is an FX file that creates a complete stick of parachutists every time you hit the Lights key. The other is a payload paratrooper.

The FX file is by far the most useful. The paratroop payload has limited use as the aircraft has to be large enough to accomodate the 'ice cream cones'.

Both are (I believe) posted here at SOH.....one is included with the CFS2 C-119 download. :ernae:

With the SOH´s server fried I couldn´t find or retreive the C-119 paratroopers. Instead I´ve searched the SOH threads and found three fx files that work as paratroop payloads:

1st and 2nd: 82abd-fx.zip and 82ab-fx.zip. Made for FS2002 by Heather Sherman modifying Pierino Primavesi´s fx paratroop files for his JU-52.

3rd: para.zip, fx paratroop file for FS2004, made by Gianni Vakirtzi.

I still have to test them in CFS2. They are in Flightsim.com library.

Another posibility will be to try Pierino Primavesi´s for FS2002 in JU-52 or it´s paratroopers wich are a little bit more complex. And as ther is a JU-52 dedicated to CFS2 that come´s without paratroopers I don´t think this will be possible.

Once I´ve put them to work I will try making some missions with paratroopers and gliders for Crete, D-Day, Korea or something like that. They won´t be for quick combat lovers but I think that for every triggerfull hour flown by fighters there were many more hours flown by cargo, recon, bomber and other types of planes. Most of them uneventfull  and others toppled with action :icon_eek:. I´m looking for the second type. Or the one´s flown by fighters but with other things in mind like finding a harbour full of german flying boats like BV138 trying to escape to Norway in the final days of the war. This comes from my recollection of The Flying Circus written by Pierre Closterman. Let´s hope the FR down get negative!!

Sorry for my faulting english.

....I would post the Effect here, but I cannot upload attachments right now.
Perhaps that will change soon.

And it should not be too long before the downloads section for CFS2 is completely restored. :engel016:

I would like to find a "howitzer type 4", as I am running through the defend Henderson scenerio, but due to this complicated website, I have this ongoing battle of finding specific missing articles. I presume it is Japanese, as they are shooting at me. Anybody?

Howitzer Type 4

Hooraw,

Give us a few more detail on the mission/campaign. Is it the stock campaign or an add on. If it's an addon, give us the title and author and where you got it from or it's complete name. With these details I'm sure we can find it or fix it.

Howitzers and other field guns don't shoot in CFS 2, but they could be listed as a missing scenery object. Is that the nature of your error window?

We also need more variety of AAA guns representing all the Nations that participated in WWI and WW2. I really dislike to use USA Guns to represent British AAA Guns or Japanese Guns for Chinese AAA guns.

Thank you!:applause:
