• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

Oh man, that airshow looks incredible. You guys are so lucky. Two demo teams, plus the blues and snowbirds? I actually turned this TDY down last week because I figured Panther wouldn't want to hear from me..
 
i heard the F-18's just a few minutes ago....i'm guessing it was the Angels arriving..

Blue Angels just finished up with a FAM/practice flight....

No reason to turn down a TDY on account of me Tigisfat....

You lucky buggers. Enjoy and get lotsa pictures Panther. I've gotta wait until August for the show at Dover. I don't think it'll be an airshow per say, but at least we'll get to get up close and see what they have there. At we'll be able to park our classics under their wings.

I'm just messin' with you. In spite of our disagreements, I would love to come down and buy you a beer. I turned down that TDY because I'm gone enough already and I didn't think the show would be any good. When I was asked if I would go, I had to give an answer immediately. We only committed to going in the capacity we are about a week ago. I told them if they needed me, I'd step it up but I'd rather not.
 
Shoot, I would love yo go. have to attend a graduation and pig roast this weekend. Then get back to pack for a business trip next week.

19:30 special airshow for families tonight that live on base - going to try and make that if we can all eat on time...
 
Managed to get a few shots in with the phone....

I loved the MiG-17F's sound while taxiing & I was quite surprised by how much flame it actually put out...
 
Making me homesick with the pics, Mr. P, but it's good to see Barksdale again !

I saw the Snowbirds perform in the late 90's in Texas, and that was a lot of planes in the air at the same time ! If memory serves, I think the Angels also performed at that same show...I'll have to dig out the photo albums now... Good stuff.

I miss these airshows. Not much is happening here in NJ. Once in a while I get a change to sneak to Old Rhinebeck, but no jets there.
