Some more shots from the RNLAF Air Day 2009

I'm a lousy photographer and I can't compete with the magnificent shots Ferry posted, but here are some pics I took on Friday at Volkel AFB. Unfortunately, the layout of Volkel means it is a real PITA when it comes to taking good photographs:crybaby:. As my friends and I arrived relatively late and because they only came along out of curiosity, they weren't inclined to walk the length of the runway to the "active threshold" like I wanted to:banghead:. So I got stuck in front of the Patrulla Aguila and took a lot of shots of them starting up. I'll think I'll make a separate thread about that after I've sorted out the pictures.

Sorry for the long rant, but here are the pics I think came out quite good if I may say so (though probably more through good luck instead of wisdom:redf:). No editing except resizing.

And finally the Red Arrows. Probably my favourite shot I took that day. It looks rather impressive full size.

nothing wrong with those shots..:medals:

looks good:ernae:

I second that!

I know what you mean about taking good photos... The static line-up in front of the runway means it's very hard to get good shots of aircraft landing and taking off. I didn't get any decent shot of the Vulcan landing, because I had three Harvards blocking the view. Not nearly a PITA as the parking drama was though... :isadizzy:
