Is anyone here using AFX with a Vista OS ?

http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=afxv1

In the write up it notes for the Systems Requirements ........

Windows XP Recommended - Although Airport Facilitator X may operate under Vista, Flight One can't make any guarantees that you will not encounter problems when using the software with Vista.

I've been thinking of getting this but I've got a Vista system.

Thanks for your feed back.

Pete.

I have it in Vista, and afew niggles aside, it doesfine.

My only problems relate not to AFX but to FS9 not liking windowed mode in Vista, makes working with AFX a pest. For me FS9 freezes periodically in windowed mode, thus meaning it doesn't keep up with AFX preview mode. A quick double Alt-Enter (fullscreen then back to windowed) unlocks it until thenext freeze. This seems like a Vista/FS9 problem, not AFX, but it does incur it's consequences on AFX. Would do the same to AFCAD to I pressume, but without the lovely preview mode, it wouldn't matter.

Even with this quirk, it's still much quicker than the trial-and-error and constant reloading of FS to check changes that is required for AFCAD.

Jamie

PS. others may report other probs, but I've had no others so far.

I had the same problems as you mention until I opened FS9 shortcut and changed compatability mode to XP and disabled visual themes, desktop composition, and display scaling. The problem went away completely.

Thanks Terry,

will look into that stuff, will be shouting if for help if I can't figure it out.
