• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Chacha you are a selfless human being and i think we all can't thank you enough for what you've done, you really deserve a treat, 4 hours drive... man thats a long drive to deliver, but again thank you. i think a SoH medal of honor is needed (as stated before) and everyone here can say without a doubt you deserve it ......... and a reward! :ernae::medals:

I went ahead and just footed the bill myself because I wanted to make sure she had enough money for everything...when she gets back and deducts everything..if there is anything left I just said to deposit it back in the fund.I know some in here wanted to go with a cheaper laptop...but this one fit the bill better and came with more than what he will ever use..it was a couple of hundred more...no biggie to me, hope y'all didn't mind. I figured if we are going to do something like this...lets go first class and all the way.The fruit basket,cards and magazines were just a little icing on the cake. I would have done the same for anybody else in here. What y'all did here should make everybody feel good about themselves. Chacha also took some pictures of him, I'll post them when I get home from work....I bet he has a bigger grin than you have ever had...lol....Mike

Mike, I totally agree on a better laptop. This is a great thing for Ron and will be like equipment for SOH. He can be more flexible in locations now, will have an emergency backup, everything. I think you did good in going with a first rate unit.

We have money to cover most of it...should be all of it...but it was easier for me to transfer the money out of my account and faster too...while I was talking to Chacha...within less than a minute she had a thousand...once everything has cooled down a bit I can rework it..plus I would rather her have to much money than not enough...it is better to do it this way...for me that is...Mike

BTW...I just yakked at him a widdle bit ago...he is having a little bit of a hard time waiting for the sign on...but is having a field day with the pooter playing the games...says time goes by a little faster and takes his mind off of everything. Ickie informed me all is going forwarded with the surgery...tomorrow he should be getting all cut up and fixed tomorrow morning....I don't think they can fix his at-a-tude.

Well all in all seems it was a great day. This old fart goes to bed at 8, so Ickie, if you manage to get online tonight, take it easy, hope your out of there real soon, do what the docs tell you to do, give up the smokes, I hope (fingers crossed) I am smoking my last half pack, wanna puff, heh, heh take care, friend
 
Unfortunately this time I was not able to make a contribution to this wonderful cause because the numbers in my bank account had a minus sign inn front of them :isadizzy:.

Even though I live half a world away I am always happy to contribute because this site is almost family to me.

'tis a wonderful thing you have managed to pull off here Mike :applause::applause: and I hope Ickie is back on his feet soon.

Eli ..... it is also a gret effort on your part to see that he got them.


And yes I know all about being in hospital and it is always great to get home to sleep in your own bed.

For those that may not have seen on other threads, here is the Laptop and cards making it to Ickie at the hospital.

Eli (ChaCha) volunteered to take everything to our fearless leader, a 4 hour drive. (She must really be glad to have SOH back online).

Her daughter had wrapped the Laptop (mobile SOH command center mainframe).

Thanks to Mike (Hey_Moe) for organizing all of this. You are awesome Mike!
