Hey all,
For those of you that are Epic drivers, the new 2nd Generation Epic LT is slowing going through its finishing paces. The new version will feature the 2nd Generation Garmins, tuned to the LT, and a totally rebuilt, from the ground up, TruTrac Sorceror AP system, complete with 25 voice calls.
I have to tell you, its a blast. It is one amazing AP system. It literally has 'systems' within the AP. The screen has multiple layered layouts, which show you tuning modes, adjustment modes, flight following modes, FP loaded or not, etc. It tells you (actually 'she' tells you, its s females voice) when you have achieved your waypoint, when the Glideslope is locked, etc. When you power up the AP, the girl tells you the GPS is offline, then when GPS is established, she tells you.
Fun fun fun...
It can be sophisticated though. I am thinking I may have to include the basic AP as a fall back for those that are not into that sort of thing. For them, it can be simple. For the ones that want it all, it can be a wild adventure of learning one wild AP system.
By the way, this is the new freeware KPLN airport for FS2004. Brilliant scenery package. I have been doing my share of testing in Northern Michigan lately.
