Iris F-16D Released

How do i drop bombs with this F-16D, i did all it says in the manual:

To drop the bombs, you need to assign a joystick switch or keyboard command to the „release droppable objects‟ command in Flight Simulator X.
Please note that the CAS model is the ONLY model with visibly disappearing bombs. Whilst you can add bombs to any saved file, only the CAS model will have the bombs disappear from the rack as you drop them.
A pre-saved situation file is located in your „Microsoft Flight Simulator X/IRIS Pro Series/F-16D Fighting Falcon/Saved Flights/‟ folder. Simply copy the contents into your appropriate „My Documents‟ folder and you should be able to load the Eglin Strike Training Sortie, all armed up!

I hit Shift+D but nothig, i am flying the F-16D from the "saved flights", i push the AG button, i switch the master arm switch to arm, what else should i do?

By the way i realy like this plane, it is not as pretty as AS F-16 but it has a lot of things that AS does not have:
"Bitching Betty", nose wheel light that can been seen from the VC at night, CCIP mode with droping bombs (which i am having trouble to do), F-16D with a rear VC, and (for me at least) better FPS.
B U T Aerosoft's F-16 is more pretty, has better VC, very good HUD that looks very real.
I just hope that it would be possible to combined both planes into one perfect model.

I actually don't live in Newcastle as it were lol just near to it. Its just the biggest ciy near me that people might know!

Anybody know when any target ranges will be ready?
 
GR27 - I suggest you read page 6 of the manual again, and if you're having problems bring it over to the Iris support forums where more help can be given.
 
Since I can't post over at IRIS (can't sign in, can't get the registration email), does anyone know if they are still having the problems between their email provider and Comcast?

Previously (before their forums were wiped out the second or third time), I had registered with Comcast. Then, when the forums were rebuilt, I couldn't register with Comcast, so (I think) I registered with a temporary email account, or they registered me manually. Then, their forums crashed again, and perhaps again since, and now I'm trying to register AGAIN, and cannot get their registration email. It isn't a spam filter - the emails just aren't making it to Comcast.

So, this was the long way of asking - has anyone with a comcast email account been able to register at IRIS's forum? Or do I just need to contact David again?

Unfortunately it seems that comcast users are not receieving e-mails generated at our servers. We don't know why this is.. I've just manually approved your forum account from our admin control panel so you should be okay to post.. :)

I did all as explained in the Handbook:

1. Create a situation in FSX with your favorite IRIS F-16D CAS model at the airfield of your choice.
2. Save the situation as a name of your choice. (i.e. F-16 Bombing Test)
Close Flight Simulator X and navigate to your;
[FONT=Century Gothic,Century Gothic][FONT=Century Gothic,Century Gothic]‘My Documents/Flight Simulator X Files’ [/FONT][/FONT]folder.
3. In that folder you should see a file with the name of your saved
situation followed by an .flt suffix. As I named my situation „F-16 Bombing Test‟ my saved file I‟d look for is „F-16 Bombing Test.flt‟
5. Open the required .flt file in notepad.
6. Scroll to the very bottom of the notepad document and copy the following text in;
[DroppableObjects.0]
ObjectSet.0=GBU-12 Paveway, 8
7. The number at the end of „GBU-12 Paveway‟ corresponds to the amount of bombs carried. For accuracy, I‟ve gone with eight, however you can adjust the number to suit your needs.
8. Once you‟ve pasted the text into your document, save the file and reload the situation in Flight Simulator X.
You should now find you‟re sitting at the airfield of your choice in the F-16D you chose with an onscreen indication that you‟re carrying Paveway bombs.

But still i can't bomb, i have 8 GBU-12 bombs under the wings (it also says so on the up right screen) i hit the AG button, i see the CCIP in the HUD, the master arm switch is in arm position (i try also simulate position), i hit Shift+D the picture freeze for half a second but no bombs are falling.
Am i missing something here? And i have tried to registered to IRIS forum but no luck, i appreciate for some help.

maybe you can check your configuration settings, make sure that shift+d really is the command for dropping objects?

My question is how do you drop the Jdam, I mean I know it won't come off the pylon, but as in that video the explosion looks bigger and I was just wondering how to do it?
 
So I just tried out the bombing function and everything works fine on it except for I dont actually see the bomb explode. It goes towards the ground releases from the plane fine, but no explosion. What am I doing wrong?
