Iris F-16D Released

With all due respect did you read the posts I was referring to?

It was to help illustrate that this was not the place to cut up the F-16 and a little respect should be shown. That was my point and the same point was made in post 456 in the L-39 thread.
which I agree with.

I'm not understanding your post as bringing this there would not make sense.

2Low, Yago9

All what needed to be said was said in this thread regarding this matter (pro's and con's), by developers and customers.

The developer has opened a thread @ his site, as customer support.

Before stuff gets on the edge of getting this thread closed, why don't we all focus on the product itself. Bitching about the bird, discussing if mixing it with another bird of different making and slapping the developer is not constructive to this matter. It will get the admins to close this thread and the developer to leave this nice site for what it is. That results in customers remaining unhappy.

Discuss all you want about the bird, but keep it nice and tidy (no oil on old fire necessary (that being the reason for my reply on your post, 2Low)).

If stuff popping up here leads to a major problem regarding the product, the developer will either read it here, or it should be taken to where it belongs...the developer (who happens to have opened a thread on his/their site for that matter).

I hate to see yet another nice thread with constructive information regarding a nice bird going down to the "closed" toilet again. Thats all

Hope i did not offend you guy's, i just want to get this thread to stay alive and constructive in a nice gentleman style. :engel016:

Mr. David "Smudge,"

I looked up the law regarding EULA, to make sure my facts were straight, and as far as I can see it looks like you CANNOT refuse service to a Customer who has purchased a product of yours. Although, you cannot give support services for something you did not make, you as still required, by LAW, to render services to a purchasers/customers. Or, provide some compensation or RETURN policy for defective or unsatisfactory work. Apparently, this is a global policy for all software developers in the business end of production and distribution.

Finally, I fully intend to buy your product, but lets put all these DRAMAs aside and behave like professionals, render service, let people play with their toys and seek your help, advice, and even provide you with some of their talents.

IRIS, David & team are under no obligation to offer support on a 3rd party forum. They may choose to do so, at their discretion but do not have to attend to your every whim, (for that matter they do not have to either on their own forum) on a 3rd party site.

The reference was made very clear by David, and others, that if you tweak any files you void his support options, unless they are tweaks that IRIS or a representative has put out officially, which he has done so.

I'd like to see your links, where did you get the information from? You can send me a PM, keep this topic clean.

In the meantime, if you don't like it, don't buy it.

Warrant has a point, keep it on topic, keep it about the plane. If you have any more concerns about these other issues, please message David or post to their forums directly.

Guys, you are going to have to register to the forum if you want support.
Just no other way around it unfortunately.

The zip file I uploaded to IRIS will be removed also.
I ask that you do not! In anyway shape or form
upload it to any website.

If someone wants support, please give them the link.

Everybody quit bitchin and lets have some honest Asoft-Iris comparisons.
Around the $30-$35 price range I jump in and be a test dummy.$50 plus and I am waiting for some good feedback. I got a Delorean that makes sure I dont have much disposable income left.
Seems to be more systems heavy but how about the FM? I am more into the immersion factor as opposed to check list porn.
So lets hear how it flies.

The CCIP is worth the money alone.

No more fake bomb runs. All we need now are AAA batteries and SA-2's popping up through the clouds.

VERY COOL!

Just can't stop bombing stuff at the minute too!!

@Yago sorry to hear that :frown: You will be a big miss here mate, as will your painting skills, all the best to you for the future though!

Not sure about the bomb counter Peter... I've never been able to get rid of it.. I have a feeling it's hard coded into the FSX engine.

Yeah (drewl)....GBU's rule!!!:engel016::monkies::ernae::bump::applause:

Yago9, sorry to hear about your decision. But a man's got to do what a man's got to do.

All the best, mate!
A skillful painter ya are, thanks for your contributions. :medals::medals::medals:

Think it is a pay-off between missions and free-flight, and the ability to do stuff in free flight that normally only could be done in missions. Therefore most likely the only peeps able to get rid of it are the developers of FSX.....
(unless i'm terribly wrong here:wiggle:)

Yago

I always hated the fact that hundreds would compliment you, and nothing but silence from your end. No thank you's. Yet when one person worded a statement incorrectly, you'd pounce like a hungry cat.

See ya

EDIT: If any one has any worries about support or issues. Please do register to the forums @
www.irissimulations.com/phpBB3 and we will be more than happy to help give support. :wiggle:

For the patch, please register to the IRIS Simulations forums.

READ IT! If you need support for the product, PLEASE let the Iris team do their job and help you out.

Not going to point out individuals, I'll just say it's time to calm down, behave like adults, show a little respect and the next person to cross the line get's the thread closed.
