Iris F-16D Released

James Texture pack will be an IRIS product due to it being HD as opposed to standard, but i will also be releasing a few HD textures as freeware also...
That's good news, Thanks! I'll be waiting for the SP before I get it, anyway; don't like to BETA test or constantly re-install fixes/updates. :isadizzy:

Keep up the good work! :wavey:

Good! :ernae: Post a link to the FlightSim Website when you have uploaded it, please; Thank you. :applause:

=================================
IRIS Team,

Has this F-16D model been outfitted with an actual animated Tailhook?

Mr.Chams,
if it is misaligned, I would ask that you bring your fidings to the IRIS support forums and we will sort it out!

As I stated before, for support visit,
http://irissimulations.com/phpBB3

That also to applies any and every other misaligned/broken parts etc.

Thank you.

Confirmed, IF you land an F-16 on a carrier, a 'slightly' misaligned tailhook will be for sure the 'slightest' problem :icon_lol:

I just want to thank everyone who's supported Michael's endeavours in purchasing the IRIS F-16. It's done well, and received lots of praise on various forums, SOH being one of them.

With the performance manager now allowing users to experience better performance and the upcoming HD texture pack being developed in-house at IRIS with some spectacular schemes to enjoy from around the world, the F-16 has become my personal aircraft of choice these days!

Anyway, back to the Christen Eagle for me... I wanted to take this opportunity on behalf of Michael and the team at IRIS to thank you all for your continued support.. :)

DB.

I wanna congratulate IRIS with the release of the F-16D, I have not left in the hangar since I got it. In some respects it's better then the other one. I hope the paint kit is out soon :ernae:

What are the other droppable object for the F-16D and how are they coded in the save flight file?

I already have the GBU in one flight. I have seen the JDAM in videos on you tube but they are not mentioned anywhere in the manual.

I'm not yet authorized for the IRIS forums that's why I'm asking here.

-G-

as far as i know JDAM doesn't actually release from the racks, only thing that does are the GBU-12's (of course i may be wrong) will have to wait for Michael or someone better informed than myself, i just paint, rarely get told the nitty gritty :kilroy:

on another note which way do the Norwegian roundels on the wings face and on which wings?

I'm fairly sure you're right there, Smoothie - you can drop anything that's in the weapons packs, simply by following the instructions that come with the weapons pack.

However, the only one that will show on the racks when you load it is the GBU-12s.

ok heres another free release HD WIP image.... no points for guessing which airforce:icon_lol:
Okay Smoothie, that paint should include a model of an F-16BM with drag-chute compartment if you please :applause: PIDS/ECIPS, SNIPER, IRIS-T bla bla would also be cool, although I rather prefer training configs....

Thanks

Chevron inside the disc points backwards as a general rule on RNoAF roundels. Check size and proportions.

Thanks Mr. Dougie! :wavey:

Mr. David "DSWO",
It looks like the IRIS Team has added a Tailhook. :applause: If, for some reason, it is slightly misaligned then I'll post a fix for it. Else, both you and I can look forward to doing Carrier OP's in this bird right away.:wiggle:

Later! :USA-flag:

Congrats on your job with IRIS, James......

But using an F-16 as a carrier bird :isadizzy:

Perhaps you'll able to land (if very good and lucky), but how do you plan to t/o?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just another question;

Compared to the Aerosoft F-16 the "Delta" (especially the CFT models) seems to be nose low when on the tarmac. Anyone else noticed this?
