Just another question;

Compared to the Aerosoft F-16 the "Delta" (especially the CFT models) seems to be nose low when on the tarmac. Anyone else noticed this?

I DON'T work for (or employed by) IRIS, Aerosoft, or ANY other FS Developer/Distributor ... My FS career consists of me fixing my own "buggy" purchases and a few FREEWARE ones too, for FREE. :icon_lol: I'm just a customer who buys most of everyone's "awesome" products and am "hopefully" a "good" customer for my $$$, if nothing else. :kilroy: AND...

Sorry my Bad English .
Ive a problem with my I.R.I.S. F16D .The problems began at startup ,when i set the mainswitch on Battery have failed FLCSPMG light ,dose not illuminate .The second is at FLCS PWR test there are 3 posse at start is on Normal .When i'm switch to test all leds (A,B,C,D) are illuminate n stay like at switch .But I'm switch to Main than happens like normal test procedure .The Third is after switching from Battery to Main n than JetFuel Starter 1 is the next step but i can set only on Starter2 isn't possible to switch on Starter1 .OK .I switch on Starter2 sounds like good the RPM is Climbing to 20 %.
than i pull the throttle a bit forward .Dose not happening .Dose not climb the RPM to 60 % ,engine isn't started.I need to hit onCtrl+Shift+F4 than is on right way engine is start .Why cant i satart the engines without keyboard ?Anybody can help me what i need to change in .cfg to have all function in rightway ?

I just have purchased the IRIS F-16D from FlightSimStore via download for a 163MB big file. But if i try to install the file i get an error. It seems that there are an invalid file for a pilot texture. The installationprogramm says i should start the utility again to complete install F-16D, butt hat dont work. I attached a screenshot of the errormessage. Maybe someone here had the same trouble and know a fix for it?

I didn't have any trouble but it looks like it may be a corrupted file from the d/l. Perhaps try re-downloading again then re-install....

I made two downloads.But both bring up the same problem. :-(

I wrote to FlightSimStore, as i read in this threaad there may be some wrong files on the vendors servers. Maybe they didnt know about it. Hope they will get a fix than.

Yeah, the most frustrating thing about the Iris forum is the fact that I have had to register three different times. The last time I had to email David to get approved. That is sorta insulting.

However, they make very good airplanes and David will go out of his way to help you with a problem. You might try emailing him at the support email. He will respond.
 
I got an answer from FlightSimStore.

They gave me the hint to use getright to download and if that dont work use the DMS they offer.

As i downloaded earlier software from them without getright and without problems i think thats no solution. I tried it with getright and i found out that the file is still corrupt. As i have seen in this thread the newest file of IRIS F-16D is 168MB in size the file from FSS is only 163MB in size. I wrote them about it, maybe theyre file is not ok and thats the reason for my trouble?

I hope they find a fix without DMS and such things. I wont spend money for half things. I think that was the last time i ordered at that shop. :-(

Yes the planes from IRIS are awsome. I have the F-14 bought first and was impressed. Than i bought the P-40 and was glad with it. And now i bought the F-16D and so far i can see its a pretty thing to fly. I send David a message about that what happend with this file, maybe he know a solution. :)

EDIT

After some mailcontact with FSS they uploaded the file again and i downloaded this new file and it worked. Great thing that i can now try the new F-16D on FSX.:gameon:
 
I've been having a ball flying this plane. It is such a sweetheart to fly.

I can see why real Viper pilots would love this aircraft. I've also created several "bombing missions" at various locations (Hill AFB is a good one, there some small airports tucked in the mountain valleys with hangars that make good targets :icon_lol: )

Now, if IRIS would release a Sufa or Brakeet my joy would be complete.

this IRIS F16 is really impressive.
HUD, the flight path marker(or Airbus call it FPV,flight path vector) calculation is accurate and smooth.(I hope Mr. Dinno's F14D have this HUD)
aircraft turning and drifting response at small bank angle is reasonable (for me,at least).
when do a on speed approch, after retard throttle,it don`t float like a low wing load cessna.
and high frame rate.:applause:
 
Yes the framerate is very fine. I had the Aerosoft F-16 before and i could not use it cause it made so big lags, even in the Menuscreen where you can choose the planes and Airports, it was much lagging. But the IRIS F-16 is smooth and fine and got much detail to see. Fine work. :wavey:
 
Just got mine not too long ago, and I gotta hand it to Triple 6 Studios/ Iris, amazing job on this one. All i can say is let the repaints roll out :applause:
