Attention Rotorheads - new Nemeth/Milviz Huey UH-1C and H available

Gajit, I just installed your NC Forestry paint, and she is just drop-dead gorgeous. Thank you so much for this paint!:guinness::medals::icon29::applause::jump:

Sorry guts but I had to do it, the Navy just doesnt use green flight suits, had to change em to a nice light grey and loose the green helmet for a blue one (looks a little coast gaurdy) but works with the navy repaint , almost ready to upload.

As after 2 hours I cant find my way around photoshop elements to work on the alpha - i will upload the North Carolina repaint now - it does look better than the screenshots!!

Keep watch on the download section for it

use DXTBMP and just under the alpha tab, send "Alpha to editor" being Elements is your default selection for Editor. then go to your levels setting and drag the slider darker save, and go back to dxtbmp and reload and voila, Shiny high gloss clear coat.

Just saw the image with the pilot's door open? Is there any armor for
the flight crew on this model? Looks like there is on the C model.

Im uploading tonight if all goes well, hope u like it, its the best that I can do, you'll get the new pilot and new rotor colors (blurr only).

Nicely Done :ernae:

I have not added the update due to some of the reaction to the texture issues mentioned

plus I don't want to lose all the great repaints I collect for her

can you use the older paints on the new model? or will I lose all those great paints?

Hi Tim

Annoyingly I cant find any tabs or references on Elements to Alpha - not even in the help or instructions - i think im stuck or just thick!!

That is why I use photoshop. ANywhoo go get Dxtbmp, and open up for file with it.

- In DXT go to Pref, and Select Editor, browse to the elements .exe and click ok.

- Now that that is done and you have your .dds, or .bmp file open in dxtbmp you will see the alpha layer in the top right corner, Make sure "mipmaps" is turned off in the tab below this. (deselect include when saving)

- go to the Alpha Tab, select send alpha to editor, once this is done, elements should pop open if not already, and you should see the alpha layer in grayscale format infront of you.

- Now not knowing elements, as its not in my cs4 collection you should be able to adjust the "levels" of your image. This is the best and most Uniform way of adjusting grayscale.

- once you are done press save in elements, and go back over to DXT and open the Alpha tab again and select Refresh Alpha,

- your alpha should show darker now, and you can go to save as, select your file and your done.

- Also, if your working on both Main texture and Alpha, they will open seperatly in your editor program once sent over. Once you save both of them, all you have to do is go to Image, Reload Image, and Both Alpha and Main Image will reload, saves some time.

Hope that explains it .

The trick I use when working with .psd files and dxt norm file sent over is to do all my work on the psd, save it, merge it, select all, copy and then paste it into the norm file. Flip it if needed (usually does) and then merge and save. That way I can go back to the psd file, step backwards ctrl+alt+z and continue working with all my layers.

I dunno about that, I see naval aviators all the time and their suits look pretty green to me. I've never seen a grey flightsuit.
