Cat launch settings
Copy paste this into your aircraft.cfg directly under the [LIGHTS] entries it will add cat launch to the Corsair and so you can see the hook up point switch on your lights and you should see a green light close to the deck just in front of the prop, that light is what you need to get onto the shuttle, press your Shift+I keys and you should be ready to launch.
light.3 = 3, 10.423, 0.0, -9.42,fx_navgre //launch_bar_lug
[launch_assistance]
launch_bar_pivot = 6.433, 0.0, -3.522
launch_bar_lug = 10.423, 0.0, -7.42
after pasting the above into your aircraft.cfg the bit we are concerned with should look like this
[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing, 6=taxi, 7=recognition,
8=wing, 9=logo, 10=cabin
light.1=4, -5.1, 0, 2.0, fx_af_f4u_vc
light.2=5, 0.4, -17.3, -1.9,fx_shockwave_landing_light_tail_old
light.3=3, 10.423, 0.0, -9.42,fx_navgre //launch_bar_lug
[launch_assistance]
launch_bar_pivot = 6.433, 0.0, -3.522
launch_bar_lug = 10.423, 0.0, -7.42
As to the arrester bit I took at face value what a reviewer said about a nasty noseover and applied a cure before actualy testing it, since testing without the cure as Skippy never mentioned noseover it seems ok to me.
The arrestor is built into the model hence no [TailHook] entry in the aircraft.cfg
Please let me know if anyone suffers the noseover syndrome and I will look again at it, still checking the stopping distance.
