I am in love with the Freeware gems thread ever since I did a clean install of Windows (got 7) but dag-nabbit, all I see are planes! I want some scenery guys. Show me whatcha got!
 
My first post in the the Gems thread points out KBOS by George Grimshaw.

Hint #2 would be to get your hands on any freeware mesh by Justin Tyme of FSGenesis - there's a lot of it out there. Raimondo Taburet's stuff is in the same class.

Next, go to Flightsim's search page. Select FS2004 Scenery as the category, leave the blanks blank, select downloads for the sort-by and hit Search. That will get you the most popular packages by download count.
 
If you like the classic era, Tom Gibson & crew's whole series of Cal Classics airports as they appeared in the mid fifties to early sixties.

They aren't just in California. They're also in Hawaii, all over the continental US, and even a few in Europe.

Heck, go to the FS2004 scenery library here on SOH and grab up all the work by Cees Donkers.

I second the suggestion of anything by Leon Louis....some of his scenery is specific to the Misty Fjords mesh.....and does not work quite right with other mesh, but I am installing it anyway to use as eye-candy when I am flying around in Washington, British Columbia and Alaska.
