Super Cub: Now Available

Yes.
I just checked e-mail and the electronic secretary said I have update waiting.
Thanks Mike for the service/update...everything.

Good to know; thanks, guys. That will make getting updates (for any product) out to customers very quick and easy for everybody. From now on, customers won't even have to check if there are updates, they'll show up automatically in your inbox, for a one-click download.

Mike

Sweet. I am downloading now. :)

Thanks for the service.

Charles.

I am running the Super Cub without Acceleration at the moment as I refused to buy it. Why pay money for something you do not want like the racing Mustangs and the F-18s.

The only thing I have noticed so far is that the tailwheel has a slight bounce.

Cheers
Pat

Thanks, Mike, for the special link for us early purchasers for the updated file. Support like yours makes it easy to purchase from you again. :medals:

cheers,
steve :wavey:

That was stellar support. Never had that experience before. Email notification with link to download ???!!! Wow!!!:applause::applause::applause: Thanks a million Mike!

I am downloading now. :)

Thanks Mike...excellent service. Right up there with Kodiak Quest, A2A Cub etc.

Richard

I'm re-sending the Complete update to everyone, as it appears that bandwidth needed adjusting. Small glitch as I tweak the system, but this way I know everyone will get the update for the Complete package.

If you have already received the update, you can ignore the new notification email you will receive. Otherwise, you can expect the notification email today (Jan 14). As mentioned in a previous post, if for some reason you do not receive the email, just contact me and I'll get your download link out to you right away.

Thanks,

Mike

Any additional bugs that need squashing should be reported here or emailed to you directly?

Downloaded the new Complete package via email...no problems. Uninstalled original, installed new, went flying....quickly "cracked up" due to high winds up here in Maine.
Thanks, Mike, for super quick fix to the download..and all other fixes. And especially for this really great Super Cub.
John

How does this new Super Cub compare to the FSAddon version, which I currently have and which I thoroughly enjoy flying. (I guess one can't have too many Cubs, I have Mike's original J3, the A2A J3, and the FSAddon Super Cub). Also, will this new Supercub be on Simmarket anytime soon?

:salute:

Thanks.

Not to knock FSAddon Supercub X. It was nice and I bought it and fly it. For the price, you get a truck load of birds in your cage with the FSAddon for the $$$. Great value! They look good and are very easy to fly if you prefer a less jumpy model.

On that note, I find the flight dynamics a little more believable in this package then Supercub X kit. Flight replicas flight model quality reminds me alot of the flight physics of the Scout 2007 from Real Air. The textures and little details are higher res in the Flight Replicas collection as well and the Flight Replicas have a nice Dash Mounted (working) GPS. There are more "sounds" in the Flight Replicas model too like airframe creaks when you pull too hard in a turn, outside air variations especially if you pop the door. Things like that. Plane for plane, Flight Replicas package is a little more expensive and there are still some minor little bugs here and there but Mike's service so far leaves me with ZERO worries about my purchase and the future patches if they are needed.

In summary? They are both what you paid for. While I will fly the Flight Replicas kit more often and prefer it, I don't regret my FSAdon purchase one little bit. :salute:

I do regret one thing though with my Flight Replicas purchase. I bought the "Standard Variants" package thinking that's all I wanted. I now dread that decision and wish I had bought the whole thing for the extra $10 it would have cost me. What the hell was I thinking. I was tired and not paying close enough attention and was in a rush when I made the decision.

If you are buying this? Get it ALL or you will regret it later. :frown:

Charles.

I agree - i bought them bit by bit - but think ofthe extra payment to flight replicas as well worth it anyway!!

Got this one in the paint shed - i know the real aircraft is on a slightly different version but i like the glass door

I second that.

I bought the Exteme package and it convinced me I wanted more. So I bought the Deluxe Amphibious. I'm $30 in and wish I had the rest but buying the rest would cost me the same as buying the complete package in the first place on top of the $30 spent already. My bank account says no (stupid bank account:173go1:)

The whole package is a good deal, I recommend getting it all from the get go!

Edit - nice paint Gajit, you going to do any for the Deluxe Amphibious?

I agree absolut with you gajit - do the same - I am happy to spend my money to such a great developer like Mike. Great addon, great Service - the FR Super Cub hold me up during these "Warbirdsim-Days"

BTW - your new paint looks very good

I agree with the summation of the two aircraft packages as well. The FSaddon Super X cubs filled the gap and I loved flying them, but I do feel their graphics were not up to the same caliber as Mike's are, especially with regard to the "Square" instrument Panel and guages. I think the flight model of the FR Cubs is a little more demanding in terms of flying the aircraft throughout the flight, from Taxi out to Taxi in. Just my 2 cents... I got the whole package from the start and spend most of my time int the experimental. Hopefully, Mike will make an IFR, version of it someday, so we could put some upgraded avionics in it too! Robin :icon_lol:

Finally got a chance to buy and download this today. It's a great model, probably more of a challenge to fly than the FSAddon version, in terms of flight dynamics. Here are two shots around FlyTampa's excellent Grenadines. I will be spending a lot of time with this Cub!

Had a blast on an early morning flight from Innsbruck to St. Johan, with ASA on. Alpine SuperCub in GEXed winter Europe wonderland:

I must say this bird climbs like a monkey. I was trapped inside a closing valley with ridges all around and clouds covering them. It just took one climbing 360 turn at full power to clear the ridge and get to the other side. Quite a thrilling experience. I can't imagine what it would be like to be in a real one. My only Super Cub experience is being towed by one while I was in a glider.
