This has been one of the greatest threads ever on this SOH site! So many great pets(yes, even the cats).:icon29::icon29:

May I introduce to you:
Abby and Leonie, our Maine Coons.
Born in November 2007, here they are in February 2008 (looked rather like furry bats then...):

Hanging around:

Today, they won't fit into that bag both anymore...

For some odd reasons, they used to love lying on the washer, especially when tumbling...

Don't look like bats anymore...

This is Junior, my master, otherwise known as Monkeybutt or J. R. He has a taste for Inifinity Automobiles and driving and sniffing ducks. Fave food is bacon strip mini's, T-Bone mini steak treats, and Dingo bones. He specializes in wierd sounds (like none you have ever heard, lol). Some sound like a cat...

If I put my wallet in my pocket and grab the keys, he goes into 'freak out mode' and demands to go in the car with me..

He's my best bud.

@Wild Bill Kelso,

Those are some nice shots of your cats.

Can't find a spider im my apartment at the moment, so sorry, no pet pictures from me! :icon_lol:

As a compensation, here's a shot of my brother's fishtank (which, in reality, is maintained by my dad).
It's a bit older, the interior arrangement and fish composition is a bit different by now.

Since this shot, most of the Corydoras (four of the five original ones at the left) have died and were replaced by new ones, but more importantly, the two bristlenose catfishes are alive and well. They have some nice personalities, one is shy and always hangs out (literally) near the filter while the other one likes to dig around and wreak other havoc, like chewing on the plants. :icon_lol:
Latest additions were some neon tetras and two small dwarf pufferfishs to combat any snail infestations.

Fishes are way more interesting than one may think.

Here's the litter.

Not very good pics, but this is Shayna our 4 yo three legged Pit Bull.

this was woody aka woodrow wilson (lab) and tia aka scuppydog(lab/pit)
R.I.P. 2 of the coolest dogs ever.

Such an amazingly cool thread! :)

One can tell more of a person by the way they treat animals than by the way they treat other people, imo.

Here is some good friends of mine's pooch, Miley. No, she did not just drink a Red Bull. Have captioned the pic, below...

"Are you ready to play again. Are you? Huh?
Ready? I'm ready, see? Are you ready? Okay,
it's been a minute now, are you ready yet? Fine...
how about now? Just say the word & I'm ready..."

Our Critters...well, just our dogs and kitten:

Hazel is our 2 year old female Chihuahua....8 pounds of cuteness and playfulness. She thinks and acts like she is a Yellow Lab/Boxer mix....loves to fetch, loves to play tug of war, loves to rough house. Does not act like a Chihuahua in any way.

Brutus is our 3/4 Chihuahua/1/4 Jack Russell mix. 12 pound tornado of energy and activity. He is so hard to get good pics of as he never fully sits still....even if his body is stopped, either his ears or his tail are moving all the time. For a small dog, he sure is loud and FAST!

Auggie...our 8 month of kitty. Deb found him on Craigslist for free. The lady said he was a F4 Bengal Cat....but I don't think so....if he is a decendent of the Asiatic Spotted Cat, he does not really look like on...though his brother and sister did look like Bengals and were much bigger than him...possibly he inherited more of the domestic cat traits and less of the ASC traits..he does have the eyes though.

My Jack Russell- Pup

The picture in the green chair is about five years ago and the one in the power chair is recent. She is almost 13 years old now. Her real name is Princess Leia but somewhere along the way she became just "Pup". She always wants to be touching a human being.

Sure enjoying this thread.

Great friends, all of these beloved beasts! :) Am admitting partiality to MudMarine's "Jack".

If I've got a pet then she is Rockette, a friend here for years. She'll takes almonds & raisins
from my hand now after earning her trust over time.

She should be waking up any day now after a long, cold winter here.

Good Choice!!:icon_lol:

We have a few Beagles.
But we've always had Beagles as our constant companions.
The breeders we have always used for our dogs are just the type of people one expects to have taken on Beagles, very kind and caring, and happy to keep a few 'Baby Pictures' for us.

When I was married, (long sad story in itself,) the wife devulged that she had always wanted a beagle. Just so happened I worked with a guy that raised purebred benchleg beagles and his Dame and Sire just had a new litter, so being the loving husband I was, I thought I'd suprise the wife one day.

Let the records show it was the dumbest and worst mistake I have ever made in my life.

I've never seen a dumber dog that that beagle.

And dig?
I would come home from work and find 3 foot deep holes in my yard from where the beagle out of sheer anxiety while we were away from the house just dug holes to keep his mind off the fact that we were gone.

When the divorce came she kept the dog.

wombat, when i show my wife those pics, she's gonna melt like butter in the microwave.

snuffy, sorry to hear of your beagle trouble. with most dogs it's not the dog, but every now and then there's one that just ain't right. i had a dog once that had some mental issues. it wasn't a beagle though. i think it was a malamute.
