Been tweaking things since my Win 7 32bit Home Premium upgrade from XP. Got FSX and most of my other apps running, and can, in theory, make planes. I don't think Autodesk will ever enable Win 7 support for 3ds Max 7 thru 2008. I can get my Max 7 to run under XP compat-mode, but it's still hit or miss( lockups, ctd's etc) Have access to Max 2008 (still have movie biz contacts), and it will run better, but not perfect.
All this got me wonderin'.
To all of the Dev's, freeware or payware, what OS are you all running, what version of Max/Gmax/FSDS/other are ya using? Is it a case of XP puter for plane making, and W7 puter for FSX itself? Are there any plug-ins, scripts, or secret potions to make things play nice with each other?
Will all of this be an issue down the line? If there ever is a FS 11?
I get the dreaded feeling I may end up plane making for other sims in the near future...
