There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Stupid question: have you turned it on with the power button in the upper left corner? (small knob with a c on it)

What are you guys all using for FDE tweaks?
Everyone keeps complaining about how it's not a V tail. Why don't you go get FSD's brand new V tail bonanza?
If you turn on the GPS while in windowed view you have to turn it on again when you switch to the VC.Is anyone else's Garmin GPS not showing that it's "on" when in the VC. I haven't tested it with the other models, but the German Dark blue/white model has this error.
I'm not complaining. I kinda like it's "L" tail.![]()
The Carenado is nice. I think the FSD and the Carenado both compliment each other well. We're fortunate to have both models available to us.

Bleeping hell Tigisfat - have you been on some kind of diplomacy course!!!! LOL :salute:
A lot has changed in the flight simming world. Many of the things that used to make me angry have fixed themselves over time.
So I've done some reading of pilots notes and such.
Full flaps is almost always used with the Bonanza (and most other planes) on approach.
One source said that the mp should be around 13.5 with full flaps on short final. This isn't even close to possible, even with my modification. The lowest manifold pressure I could use to even stay in the air is around 20. I'm going to change the value some more to see if I can hit closer to the numbers that manuals and pilots are indicating.
More to come...
Another note:
The takeoff distance is HORRIBLY wrong. The F33A is supposed to take off in a little over 1000 feet. The best I can do with flaps 15 is around 2400. I'm not sure what's wrong here...
It was worth the wait - impossible to take a bad screenshot

Carenado could have prevented all these FDE issues by soliciting the beta test services of actual Bonanza pilots. I am sure they could have found several who would have provided them with valuable technical feedback.

Curiously, one of the most vocal defenders of the B33's FDE on Avsim is a Bonanza Pilot.
