What CFS2 Aircraft really shine in FS2004?.. What can you recommend?

Thanks Claudius, I downloaded the ki-61 hien, ko and otsu form Akemi's home site last night. I don't know if they are the correct ones though.

I'm using the Hien version of the Ki-61 in the screenshots above. Don't know what the exact differences are with the Ko and otsu.

I grabbed my paints from a back-up CD, didn't check to see if they are still available.. For sounds you should get the 'Ki-61_Sound_V2.zip' here:
http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforu...oads&page=downloads&FileUploadName=Lawdog2360

If you PM me an e.mail addy I will send you a zip file with Morton's panel, textures, propdiscs and airfile mods.

:)

Hello Ferry. I got everything (I think) that I need. Claudius took care of the prop disc, textures, airfile mod and updated .cfg.

I am however still looking for the gauges. I've searched for the stock CFS2 ones but not having much luck. And I haven't yet run into anything but the "historically correct" panel.

Meanwhile,..still searching.

The Ki-61 Hien is a darn nice rendition. Love the repaints

A while back Baz (Aeroplane Heaven) made a CFS2 F4U-1 Birdcage available, which was darn nice in FS9. I did a FS9 airfile for it at the time but did not release it at the time as Baz and Co. were still selling FS9 Corsair packages.

Cheers: T

That's completely understandable. (laughing) I'll think like a chimp when I fly it so I can keep it trimmed out

Paul Rebuffat has a wonderful selection of Spitfires and 109s. http://www.myzone59.com/rebuffat/accueil.php

Oh, look under BSK/BrunoSK for a few very nice planes...his Mossie is to die for (someone did an update to FS9 in terms of flight dynamics) as is his Martin 167.

OBIO

If I recall correctly, although there are now a lot of Spits available for FS9, Monsieur Rebuffat's is still the only Mk XII available, and is far from shabby even now.

And have to echo the recommendation of that Mossie, absolutely superb, still gives the various payware releases more than a run for their money!!

Thanks or that info!!
..I have trouble finding any of the Rebuffat aircraft. And many others. All (most) links seem to lead back to SOH archives or threads, and most if not all are dead/404

Thanks Andy, Claudius and norab.
...This will be a busy time sorting things out to make flyable.

Daube, those old CFS2 ships looked prettty good in those shots. Have you modded them at all?

Thanks all :ernae:
Not modded at all, taken directly from my CFS2 install (or even from the CDs, I don't remember) and transfered into the FS9 aircraft folder. Some planes were missing some of their sounds (flaps for the Zero, for example), but on the other hand, the virtual cockpits became clickable !! :jump:

Hi,

I like those KI's
Must make a video .... :jump:
