Does anybody know of any fairly high quality freeware phantom FG.1's around I picked up Fernando Martinez FGR.2 AI model which is brilliant (for a low poly AI model) and I remember in the readme he spoke of producing a Flyable version not long after does anyone know if he actually ever did???

The only freeware F-4s currently out there are:

The CFS2/FS2002 series of F-4s release as freeware by Alphasim some years back.

The F-4 by Kazurino Ito (I hope I got his first name right).

Ito's F-4 is nicer externally than the old Alpha examples, but does not have a VC. The VC in the free Alphasim F-4s is very basic, but it is there.

Rumor (Iris Simulations forums post) has it that at some point David Brice will be releasing the previously payware FG.1 and FGR.1 Phantoms as freeware. No timeline or update.

Yeah I saw that and if you read the Alphasim updates it sounds like there winding down alot of there fs9 models and gradually making them freeware or that could just be me reading it wrong!?! but if it is right I wonder which will be out first??? place yer bets please!:jump:

does anyone know where I could find the RAFV\DSB UK FIGHTERS PACK. I read on UKMIL download sight that it was available through MSN or P2P (forgive my ignorance but I'm not sure what P2P means) does anyone kinow if its freeware or not??

P2P means Peer to Peer such as sharing bit torrents, notorius for sharing copyrighted properties

The Uk Fighters pack was a limited distribution package through David Brice at Iris. Don't know if they are still giving it out.

'twas a pack done for use of/by member of something like RAF Virtual or Vraf..for on-line multi-player stuff;
anyways the pack is free to share/be shared but must not pe posted on a download site
ask over at cbfsim and I'm sure someone will reply, so I guess to answer your question, yes it is freeware, but not public domain freeware.
