One other thing - late last year I pestered you for Norfolk Island scenery and you kindly posted or sent (I can't remember) "mr_pac_air_ferry_route.zip". As this package is not on your website, what are the chances of uploading it to SOH. I am sure fellow antipodeans would appreciate this lovely scenery (we finally see Norfolk Island pines).
Cheers,
Kevin
Therefore mr_micronesia_080512.zip and mr_nsw_norfolk_island_090916.zip are the ones to have for all the Norfolk scenery.

I just updated the old mr_micronesia_080512 to a new version, 100707 (surprise, surprise!). It is available for downloading from my website.
Fantastic stuff as usual of course from Maskrider.
I'm sure this has been up already, but I have not been attending class lately. I only need a short advice. My PTO install have all the "old" MR stuff, but has not been updated after Rhumba's new stuff. So ,if I now want to upgrade with all of Rhumbas new DEMs etc etc, should I just delete the old MR package in question and install the new one as they come?
Must I remove the GSLs from the old package as well?
Which of the scenery packages on the MR homesite have so far been updated?
Morton:salute:
Hi Morton.
I have been laboring under the impression, since last March or so, that if one wished to build scenery in a Rhumbafied PTO one would need to supply one's own coastlines to fit the the new shorelines.
Still not clear to me if I am right or not.
I'll get back to ya on this.
Naah- I am no where near as rigid as that in my thinking. But if I am going to expend the time- I want it to look the way it did- or as a close second- the way it looks today. I can tweak it from there.
BTW when I say shifted, I mean shifted. Lets say that in all details and shape the stock shorelines were exactly the same as Rhumba's SRTM masks. Even then the stock would still be "shifted" several hundred yards- or much more- north south, east, west from where they belong. It is problematic.
It's the shift that catches most people - but I've noticed that some small islets you can see using STRM geotiff as a reference in G2K simply disappear if you view the SWBD file for the same area in G2K - almost like low tide/ high tide shift in elevation? That's what I meant by "severe". I subscribe to Jean Bomber's map overlay method to check whenever I can.
But you're absolutely right, a blended approach to make the best of the mesh (until some method quicker than G2K comes along) is the way to go (for now):salute:
