Noemfoor Mesh or Texture Help Needed

My Noemfoor Island has the right textures in the middle of the island, but all of the edges are just big green squares. Is there a flatten that is needed? If so, what do I type into the scenery config to make it?

I have tried turning on and off different sceneries that I have for the island and nothing is working.I have MaskRider's new DEI scenery that contains the Noemfoor-Nadzab-Seeadler BGLs.
I also have Kevin Bacon's Nadzab late war, which I have turned on and off and it just shows, unshows that base. I have turned Global Exclude on and off and it makes the island completely disappear when on.

I have even combined all of MR's scenery into one folder named SW Pacific Scenery and tried that thinking that any conflicts would over-write and resolve.

I am stumped.

BTW, This is the ONLY scenery that is problematic in this theater, SO FAR. All of my other islands show proper shorelines.
My Malta in MTO does this also and no matter what I do with it, it remains like this. Even Rami's flatten line in the scenery.cfg did not correct Malta.
 
I had the same problem when I installed Brunosk's first version of Malta a few years ago. I found the problem was in the order of my scenery layers.
 
Hmmmmm....., yes, a problem indeed. And the cause and solution are not immediately apparent to me.

It does appear to be a runway showing that is not part of my Noemfoor scenery.

Do you have Rhumbas mesh and masks installed? And you have transfered all scendb/world/texture files to your main cfs2 texture folder?

If so, I will link you to a very small file for you to download that contains just Noemfoor as currently installed on my rig.

MaskRider, Yes, with the exception of putting all of the actual location Scenery & Texture Folders into one SWA Folder, I followed your instructions to the letter.

The ONLY modification I did was adding Kevin Bacon's Nadzab B-24 base in.

I have one other idea that I am going to try and that is to use the original scenery.cfg file and start from scratch and just load all of your folders as individual locations again, instead of combining into the one SWA foldier.

OH, and I have rhumba's mesh but not turned on. I just did not like having my shore lines off of my coasts.

I loaded Rhumba's LOD7 and DEM8 and these are the results.

I am going to abandon this install of CFS2 and re-install to a new Folder and start from scratch on the scenery files, using separate folders for each location.

MaskRider, if you would, can you post your scenery.cfg here and I will follow it's order for the scenery files?

From what I see in the these two screenshots I can tell you that what we have here is a simple scenery conflict.

That scenery showing in screenie number one is not mine. Screenie number two is mine. I believe that is the emergency strip at Namber, Noemfoor.

You very well want to start fresh anyway. But let me tell, ya: you definitely do not want anything to do with my scenery.cfg file. :d Its is a hosed up unintelligible mess. Hehe!

That would be the last thing you need.

However, I can tell you without equivocation that the problem you are experiencing at Noemfoor is a scenery conflict. Two different scenery bgls (maybe more) are fighting over the same patch of ground.

I have no clue whose Noemfoor scenery that is. But you have it installed someplace.
 
Ok, did a google on "cfs2 noemfoor scenery".

I think I found the scenery that is conflicting:

Search for the following 4 files in your CFS2 install and delete them:

Namber.bgl
Namber_A16N.bgl
NamberAF.BGL
NamberRW.BGL

PS: the MR Version of Noemfoor works equally well with or with out Rhumba's mesh/masks. The main difference being that with Rhumba's mesh/masks Noemfoor's terrain undulations are more pronounced.

If you particularly want Kevin Bacon's Namber airfield, you can restore those deleted files, as long as you put them in the same scenery layer folder as MR's Noemfoor scenery. However, if you have Rhumba's mesh activated, you will end up with a mountain at the end of the runway.

Thanks kdriver, but I am going to stick with MaskRider's stuff on that island.

Besides, on these missions of Bong and McGuire, these airbases are just bombing targets, and I am laying some bombs on them!!!!

As long as I can keep FPS up around 40 or higher, I am adding bombers to the formations, with Ai bombs.
 
Take a good look around Noemfoor. There are lots of targets tucked away here and there all over the island!

BTW: do you guys have all of these new DEI airfields I built specially for Rhumbas's mesh? There are some good ones in there. Here is a link to a clickable map of them all. The files are available at my web site under the NEWS link.

Some of them are reworks of originals so that they fit with the new mask- such as Sansapor and Middleburg and a couple of other. But most are brand new: Morotai, Biak, all brand new.

Likewise Chris. I don't have Rhumba's water masks activated so I have a double shoreline at your updated airfields like Ambon, but they still look great.
