• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I hope the "not as active at S-O" isn't due to the rivet counters. (Or should that be pilot sizers?)

You still won't find any other group as excited about FSX warbird releases anywhere else!

(I know at times it seems like some folks around here express their enthusiasm with an unfortunate "I only hit you because I love you," but most of us are just enthusiasts who can't wait to give you their cash for that beautiful cat!)

BTW, if anyone wants to paint the Flying Heritage Collection's cat, I have more pics I can send you directly. Just PM me.

Er, - there is no hand hold stripe in the starboard side of the aircraft.
The plane is like a horse. You always mount it from the port side.
Otherwise, it will rear up on you.

True. Although there were exceptions like the F-104 and maybe the Hurricane (at least it had the access door on the stbd side while the Spitfire had it on the port side). Slight OT for this thread but if someone knows why I'd be interested to know.

I should have said it only applies to US Navy WWII aircraft. What the English did on the Hurricane or what some Air Force oil burner did, I can't be blamed for how they treat their horses.

That was one heck of an article and thanks for posting the link to it!

Can't wait for her...gettin' closer...
