Looking for a CRJ Panel

Can anyone recommend a good panel with VC for the Project OpenSky CRJ's?

...aside from the default Learjet panel

I just happened to install one or two.

For freeware there is one by Hector Molina at the usual sites. (CRJpanel.zip) I even enlisted the help of Bone as I was cleaning up the panel bitmap a bit. He was kind enough to send me a picture.

Hector's is not a bad panel but I recommend the Skydecks panel. It is payware but at $14.95 it is well worth it if you are going to spend a lot of time in that plane. http://www.sky-decks.com/sdp-001.htm

In either case make sure you **** as they operate differently that most panels. There are other dumbed down versions you can get but liked the look and feel of these two.

Cheers!

PS. Here is the pic Bone sent me. The compass correction cards in Hectors panel were blurred out. I just cleaned it up a little so it was legible.

PPS. In some of the Posky models there are gauges they added in the default panel for wing flex and a utility panel that opens doors, etc. You have to edit the Panel.config file to add these gauges back in. I believe there are instructions included in the aircraft folder. If you want to look at what I did, go over to Transload's website and download ours. It is set up with Hector's panel already installed. http://www.transloadairlines.com/newweb/Transload/connection_aircraft.htm

I know Trans_23 has answered, but I'm curious about part of your request. You mention looking for a good panel "with VC". I may be wrong, but I believe it's only FSX native models that can swap VC's. In FS9, if it doesn't already have a VC as part of the original model, then you can't import one from another source.:salute:

Trans_23 - thanks for the info, I'll look into that

falcon409 - not sure I follow (cuz it's way above my "pay grade") but are you saying that if the original a/c panel does not have a VC, I can't download a whole new panel with a VC...because the VC won't work?

VCs are part of the model in FS9. You can only install a 2D panel. In other words, if the aircraft itself has to be modeled with a VC, you cannot add one. I understand it is different in FSX where you can alias to another planes VC. I believe the only Posky plane modeled with a VC was their 777 series.

Yes and Trans_23 has reiterated that as well. Basically, if the aircraft you're trying to add a 2D panel to does not already have a VC, there's nothing you can do to add one. FS9 VC's are part of the aircraft model (built into the model) and in order to do anything related to the VC you must have the original source code (way above my pay grade as well).

So, for the aircraft you are looking at. . .if the original model did not have a VC, you can't add one.:salute:

Try this from Flightsim ........

Trans,
I tried out your CRJ-900 and it's a nice jet. Easier to fly than most other planes in that class...I can actually maintain level flight without using the autopilot.

Shortly after take off from Bradshaw Airport in St Kitts
