RealFlight F6F Hellcat Released

Kolin,
I've found that some times the bomb ARM switch doesn't move (but I can fuse them quite properly..)

""I spent 25 minutes flying & only successfully released the bombs one time....What am I doing wrong.. ""

Good Morning Panther , standing in for Dean until he gets back from work i will try to explain the release process, on the arms panel ( VC camera view 1 ) there are two switches under fuse bomb , the right hand one gets switched first then the left , once both are on ( up ) then the spoiler key will drop them , they are rigged so that they can only be dropped once , if you want having a key assigned to reset the plane can be used to rearm, the rockets use the same switching process but can be fired three ways , with the button on top of the joystick for those who use head tracking , there is also a red button in the reticule when the rockets are armed and from spot view a popup on shift three will bring a fire button onscreen that disappears once clicked and launches the volley.

"HI - could someone do a screen to show how well the canopy glazing texture looks. It looks dull or non existant next to the zero in the screens above - is there any?"

I included a screen capture of the canopy to illustrate the kind of effect developed for this aircraft , its subtle and includes interior reflections of the pilot at night ( with the cockpit illuminated ) , this is relatively clear by design though from the interior and exterior you get the impression of light play and refraction without the chrome reflections.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
Glass was an area that received a lot of attention and is one of those that is often the subject of debate after a release , one most often resolved by offering an alternate texture for download that lightens or darkens the glass to suit the customers taste .

Dang it, This sounds like a really cool product.... Man the wife is gonna kill me :isadizzy: I'm not sure my little older system will handle all that extra demands for cpu time. :banghead:

In either case I'll probably have to go ahead and get this cool Cat.

Ol' jarhead :friday:

"I'm not sure my little older system will handle all that extra demands for cpu time"

Its pretty good on framerates but one of the additions suggested is a lower resolution texture set to allow lower spec machines to load a reduced format dds that will also be useful in multiplayer , currently there is a high resolution set used throughout optimised to be sure but very detailed , the reduction would only reduce the rendering to use 1024 standard size bitmaps and should be included with the update package once Dean has gathered the wants, needs and suggestions gathered from the community .

Dose the FSD installer 'phone home' like the FSD old installers? I brought the CS C-130 for FS204 and found out that that it 'phones home' every time I install it. I did not buy it for FSX until Just Flight came out with it on DVD ROM as the installer does not phone home. Does FSD get any money from the sale of the Hellcat?

:bump:

Worth a mention is the Loadout and drop tanks can be offloaded using the aircraft Loadout and fuel selection menu if you want to fly her clean.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

When i reinstall these it reads the licence from the hard drive , i never needed to go through the full entry of the text fields and its quick , as regards monetary returns it’s a global market where nobody is making out like a bandit or even recouping the development costs involved.<o:p></o:p>
Dean , Nick , Colin and all the team worked very hard to ensure their best was done and is done to have one hundred percent satisfaction including the best installer possible with RealFlight customer support as the # 1 priority. <o:p></o:p>

Ok, it's working and she looks really fantastic.
But where is the ADI switch, is the Supercharger only a dummy and how can i enable the Pitot heater? Thanks in advance and sorry if the questions have been already asked!

Frame rates? Flies OK on my wimpy laptop, so should be great at home on the "mainframe".

Hi Dean
I've sent you a mail concerning my hellcat installation; have you seen it?
I'm eager to star flying it, but no way:banghead:
I keep getting this message (and FSD Support is not available :banghead:

Italo, Ive sent you an email with your new password for our forums.

Hi Dean, I have the same "old installer" problem and have also emailed support with my info. Just a HU.

Thanks for the HU nick.. hopefully it shouldnt take too long before your flying.

No reply yet, so while I was waiting I logged online to the customer area and downloaded the .exe file from there (instead of the previous version which I downloaded from the email link). This time I'm getting error 21.
