I cobbled together a "VOR/ADF Nav Panel" for this event. Similar to the "ADF only" for the SWPAC race, this one includes a VOR radio and gauge.
I just tried your panel in FSX Paul but it doesn't appear to work for me (I just get an empty tiny black box in the bottom middle of the screen).
I did manage to get a couple of the gauges to work individually in my DC-4 VC though so thanks for that.![]()
Thanks for taking the time over this Paul but when I try that now I have some of the stuff but not all. Missing are the radios, AP and HSI. I can get the radios if I either move the ALPHA cab out our your folder and into the main panel folder or if I add 'gaugeXX=MRR_NavPanel\' to the front of the relevant lines. I assume your DC-3 cabs are in your main gauge folder as it appears to be calling the AP stuff from the default gauge location. Mine are still in the DC-3 folder which is why I am not seeing those. As to the HSI it appears that 'RR_nh_gauges' must be a cab file that is also in your main gauge folder as it is not with the download anywhere.I was able to duplicate the black box in the center of the screen phenomenon, and that was if I didn't re-number the [WindowXX] section that I added to the panel.cfg file. I added the panel to the Alphasim T-28, after which the panel.cfg looks like this (added stuff in red):
Thanks Paul that works just fine and dandy now.I know what happened now (oops). Most of the gauges are in the folder included in the zip file, but they are not being referenced from there like they should be. Here's a new version, created after I've had coffee. This one has all the required gauges in the MRR_NavPanel folder (including the DC3 cab), and they are now referenced from that folder.
Thanks for doing this Mike (and whoever else was involved). I just DL'd and scanned through it and it makes fascinating and very enjoyable reading. I learned a lot of things I didn't know before.Notes on the Andes
We have prepared a set of "Notes on the Andes."
