Duxford Airshow FSX

TuFun

I was flying around Duxford, and thought I would put together a little video. If you don't mind some minor issues... had upgrade to a new vid driver(AMD)... big mistake. Well anyways I hope everyone enjoys the show!

Very well done!!! I sure enjoyed it - could just picture myself wandering about the crowd.

Thank you TuFun,

A lot of work went into this and it shows, wonderful to watch, forget the small issues I had some when I changed to an ATI Card
but now it's sorted I won't be going back to the other one.

Very well put together, thanks again.

Bruce

Thank you Stan and Bruce... very much appreciated!!! This is Gary Burns jeep that I repainted in RAF colors with RAF Officer. It beats walking! :icon_lol:

Thank you for posting this, Ted, it was really great to watch, and I am sure you had fun putting it together too! I'm not sure if I have ever seen so many of my absolute favorite aircraft all together at once before - the Connie, the DC-4/C-54, the B-25, and the P-51C. ; )

I enjoy the angle and over-all scale-effect that you can get, looking around the airport grounds, and at the aircraft themselves, by 'walking around' or 'driving around' as you show - anything that gets the camera-point down at the level that your eyes would be at in real life.

(Love the Jeep repaint too!)

Thanks John, the Connie is a gorgeous aircraft... fly her every time I load up FSX. With a limit of 15 minutes, I would have add the Spit and DAK to the show. I have recorded a B-17 and more video of the B-25's, but not enough time, unless I do part 2. Orcas Fly-in took three 15 minute videos.

What a great video. I have d/l it for repeated viewings later and maybe, just maybe some inspiration to try something similar myself, though I doubt I could get that good. It must have taken hours and hours to produce. Full marks :icon_lol:

Thanks very much Naismith! The hardest part is editing... that's because I record so much video, so much of it is left out. And sometimes I focus to much on one aircraft. But hey... the Mustang was alot of fun to fly, and with aerobatics and zooming across the deck, took more time than I thought. Hence, the brief exposure of the B-25's.

By the way... you should see my videos on the big screen HDTV!

Tufun, that's about 10 times better than what i saw with many vids of the REAL Duxford ! ( wobbly camera handling, aircraft looking like black blobs because shot against the sun, lots of bold heads blocking up the view, sounds distorted by wind blasting into the microphone or spoiled by music or narration, etc and so on ) With people like you at the wheel sometimes the virtual world beats the real one !

Great to see one thing missing too (as far as i'm concerned) : rain.... I went to Duxford 3 times ( i'm from Holland ) and all 3 times the air display show was cancelled because of rain.... All i ever saw flying there was a single Avro Tutor.... I still got my kicks at Old Warden though ( Shuttleworth Collection ). Maybe a nice subject for one of your future amazing FSX videos... ?

Your Duxford video creation sure is one of the nicest FS vids i have ever seen ! :applause: :applause: :applause:

Now if only we could enjoy a Duxford airshow like you have established on our own FSX installation...

Cheers! :ernae:

TuFun, absolutely great video. :applause::applause::applause: Thank you for posting.

Perfect use of music, I might add. Not used to cover up the video, but used in the credits. Very well done. :applause::applause::applause:

I saw nothing out of place with the vid card. I have AMD/ATI also. Once adjustments are made, it looks great. Mine not quite as good as yours, yet. But getting there.

Thanks Robert, Jan, Don... much appreciated!!!

I hear you guys about the music bit. I only use music in the credits. Nothing like the sweet sound of the Merlin and the R-3350 of the Connie.

Exactly the way I like to watch them! :)

Excellent video yet again,Tufun.:applause: I've said it before, but a virtual airshow (created using FS Recorder files) would be a wonderful thing in FSX.

Maybe you'll create another video for the oil-burner lovers...including a B-52 MITO?:icon_lol:

Thanks TuFun
very good video presentation :applause:
I've never been to Duxford, but few times to Oshkosh and other shows... and the feeling of a real Airshow is very present into your work
Congratulations again for your work :salute:

I did some basic videos awhile ago, when I first started tinkering with FSRecorder. Tried the MITO on the B-36, B-47, and B-52's.

Captain Sim excellent B-52, with 15sec MITO, as seen in A Gathering of Eagles, will be my next project.
