Hello all.


I want to ask about the Aeroplaneheaven Corsairs.


They had two packages of the Corsairs.One was called AH_EARLYCORSFULL_2k4 and the other was called AH_LATECORSFULL_2k4.packages


The EARLYCORSFULL work fine in FS9/FSX.The LATECORSFULL doesn't work very well in FSX.

It's been a while.I had contacted Aeroplane Heaven,about a possible patch/fix for the LATECORSFULL.

I was told by them there wasn't going to be a fix to use it in FSX.This was quite a while ago.They had mentioned there wouldn't be a new version of the Late Corsair Package for FSX either.I'm pretty sure there late corsair package was a little hard on FPS etc.
I have both Early and Late model versions.

So.I thought I'd ask here if anyone had or has these packages,and If anyone may have tweaked the Late package,or knows or has heard any further news about the late Corsair package,being patched to work in FSX.

I like Aeroplane Heaven's Late Corsair package,better than there Early Corsair package.

Thanks for any feedback about the Aeroplane Heavens Corsair packs.

I would love to be able to fly these in FSX....the LATE corsairs are so much nicer in my eyes. I keep hoping we'll see an F4U-5N is full FSX someday

I agree.I still can't figure out why Aeroplane Heaven would drop the late corsairs.I'm sure over time,they had requests for a patch.

I guess sooner or later.I may see someone come out with a patch for the late Corsairs.

So what is the best Corsair package for FSX at the moment.

Was watching a clip where a guy who has flown a Spit, P51, P40 & Corsair said that the Corsair was the best overall package fighter for WW2, the others all had strong points but if he went to war he would want to be in a Corsair
 
The US Navy would not use them on carriers until they had been tamed by the Royal Navy.
 
You mean the Aircraft Factory one, it is quite nice and you get a lot of repaints for it ( Jan Kees made some excpetionally good ones). Fliger747 also made a more realistic FDE for it.
I think it is the best for FSX so far.

As far as the Aircraft Factory one.How many models come with it,and do any of the swing the four bladed prop?.This is the Corsair I'd want.This is one of the reasons I've always liked the Aeroplane Heaven Late package of the Corsairs etc.

The Corsairs sold by A2A were developed by Milviz and represent just the mid war developed F4U 1A with the 3 bladed prop. I did the original FD for this plane, which for reasons of their own A2A changed. The original FD package is posted here at the SOH. They pretty well replicate the low we'd carrier approach characteristics of this ensign eliminator. An especially nice plane to use with Miachael Davies Essex ships in FSX Accel.

I do miss having the F4U 5 in FSX, I used the AH mount In a number of RTW events.

Corsairs

Since the Aeroplane Heaven early Corsair pack does work well in FSX.Does anyone know where I can find other paints to add to the early corsair package?.

It seems to me even back then.There wasn't many freeware paints made available by anyone for the aeroplane heaven corsair packs etc.

I'd like to find some to add to the early models etc.

Bomber 12th did and awesome factory fresh repaint for the early corsairs.....I believe you can still find it here.
 
I'm looking around for the Bomber 12th here on the website.I haven't found it yet.I'm still looking though.
