'The Worst Movie Of All Time?'

Even 'Marion' must have must cringed when he saw the rushes from 'The Conquerer'.

I have to agree with Snuffy here; there are so many bad movies it's hard to choose. There are so many big budgeted bad movies it's hard to choose. Some movies are actually so bad they're good. Night of the Demons 2 and Return of the Living Dead are really bad, fun movies, that don't take themselves seriously. Plan 9, and really anything by Ed Wood is guaranteed to be not only bad, but epically bad. One movie I found personally offensive to my sensibilities was the remake version of Planet of the Apes. I'm not necessarily against remakes, and I do like some of Mark Wahlberg's other work, but this movie made me want to pull my own teeth out. Stick to the Charlton Heston original.

wombat put this in my head. A movie you may enjoy (if I have you right) for a night's rental is Mongol: The Rise of Ghengis Khan. It's not really a martial arts film per se, although there's lot's of fighting in it; it's more what I'd call historical fiction, but more accurate than, say, Mel Gibson's The Patriot. Note: I saw in a History Channel special about Ghengis Khan, that actually went to Mongolia, that the correct way to pronounce this name is: CHENG-HISS HAN (like Han Solo). Be warned, the film is entirely is subtitled Mongolian.

The movie may or may not be bad but that so called review was unquestionably bad. His viewpoint seems to be that if you do a WWII film and include high ranking Germans they must be protrayed as evil why? and who is he to say so. The man should maybe read a little about Field Marshal Erwin Rommel.

The worst movie of any consequence (not counting some low B/C movies) ever - Godfather 2 - so bad I didn't even bother with Godfather 3. Godfather 1 was good though.

I have note seen the movie, but the review is exactly what I expected. Cruise is utterly miscast and the watering-down of historical facts is also what I would have expected. Moral relativism is hard at work in Hollywood. Spielberg's "Munich" appears to be a similar example. The last good WWII film was "Band of Brothers", although "Windtalkers" ought to get honorable mention. Eastwood's two movies about the war in the Pacific were also rife with moral relativism and heavy on social themes. I'd like to see him do "Flyboys" which is by the same author, but I'm sure he won't. I do like Clint, though.

If you want accurate German and Nazi uniforms, watch the "Combat" TV series; it is stellar, particularly the first couple of seasons. The credits are a list of "Who's Who" in the film industry. Robert Altman directed most of the first season.

man, you ain't just whistling dixie brother! the original caddyshack was one of the funniest movies of all time. i also loved fletch, but that's another story, no pun intended. however, caddyshack 2 was really terrible. i never liked jackie mason. although the rumor that dangerfield jumped ship because ramis wouldn't let him tweak the script, i have my doubts. i think he realized what a terrible flop it was going to be, and he miraculously avoided jumping the shark. i garantee he went to the grave waking every morning, thanking God he got out of that one. hahaha
 
When the "English Patient" came out my wife dragged me off to see it. Not only did I fall asleep about 15 minutes into it, but the wife did as well maybe about half hour in. It's embarassing :redf: to say the least to have the guy cleaning up the popcorn and paper cups wake you up and tell you the movies over and it's time to go. However I must say it was a very refreshing movie, best sleep I'd had in months, about the same cost as a good hotel room, very good cure for insomnia. Can someone tell me what the movie was about.
 
I haven't watched a movie starring Tom Cruise as the main lead since "Mission Impossible", unless by accident...War of the Worlds...on T.V. in a motel room traveling cross country with my family...Movie wasn't bad, but Cruise' acting caused me to check that the toilet had been flushed. None of the Cruise movies mentioned are, in my opinion, worth watching, with a slight nod to "The Last Samurai"...And it only because of the scenery and the other actors. If you want to see a worthwhile Tom Cruise movie then rent "Tropic Thunder" and set back and be prepared to have Cruise chew the heck outta his part...Probably the best thing he has done in years...My vote for worst movie would have to go to "Wanted" with Angelina Jolie...A series of blockbuster special effects strung together with no script and shyte for direction, then wrapped up with the aforementioned Angelina Jolie's 10+ arse on display for way to few seconds...My step-son bought it and I wanted the 2 hours of my life back I spent watching that toad sucker...(sigh)...No more beer for me tonight...:friday:...Happy New Year people....VD...:ernae:
 
Mars attacks and The Godfather (the three of them) are great movies ! I'm not going to convince anyone, but there's a difference betwenn a movie you don't like and the worst of all times !

The movie I felt was a complete waste of my time was Judge Dredd with Sly Stalone. Stalone is an awful actor most of the time, and the script was boring to death.

unfortuneately i have to agree. except for when he plays rocky. rocky 1 is my all time fav movie.
