• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I have been struggling a lot lately on making planes. The struggle has not been so much a technical issue, but more one of endlessly working the same "routine". I'm guessing the fact that I am a "one man band" has a lot to do with that.
That said, a few weeks ago while looking for a file I had burnt to CD I came across something I had messed with several years ago. I was amazed at how amateur I was back then, and started to re-work it. I still have a lot I want to do, but I think it would be a cool scenery object for you Navy guys. :salute:

Here are some more pics. It's been an interesting diversion. I was a crew member on it for over 3 years. Lots of memories dredge up as I work on it.

You are referring to the SPG-55 missile directors. One for each launcher rail. It would acquire the target and project a beam at it that guided the missile in.
