Hey HouseHobbit::salute:
When you get this all figured out, please send it to me, or just the links will be fine.
Glad to "Test Pilot" this for you on this effort, since you have Test FLown many of my missions sets.
I think I know how this is accomplished, and why you say to Hit "Pause" Immediately upon the mission's running.
This is not at all confusing, once some thought is given to this situation with the limits of CFS3.
You are not actually "Taking-Off" from a Full Height Carrier.
You've simply Flown (at 50 feet above the water, or whatever), at a "couple inches" above the Full Height Carrier's Deck.
When the Pause button is hit again to Resume, you are actually still "flying" (at full speed, I hope) above the Full-Height carrier's deck with the Gear Down (I assume).
You are not actually "Launched" from the Deck; you are simply "flying" very close to the deck as a Simulation of a Catapault Launch.
That is why you stated to Pull-Up very soon after resuming the mission, or you Will Crach into the Deck, for sure.
I've made many Carrier Take-Off Missions, but using the Reduced Deck-Height Carriers as the primary platform.
And from doing this so often, I can very much appreciate all the Mental Effort it takes to Edit / Hack the mission's .xml file for the correct coordinates, positions, speeds, heights, vectors, etc.
Especially coordinating the Carrier's speed, position, and vector, in relation to the plane(s) I wanted to Take-Off from the Carrier.,
In single plane launch, or multiple plane's launch, if the planes have the Auto Take-Off capabilities.
And Very Much Especially Difficult when the Carrier is moving, even at 2 to 3 Kts.
Man, you must have spent un-countable hours getting this stuff done.
And the innumerable amount of Replays you must have flown !!!!!
So, exactly where can I find this Full Height Carrier Take-Off mission set?
Please say I can find it for MAW, or PTO.... as my Load of ETO v1.40 is one cranky and unresponsive pile of Crap.
Regards and good luck.
