Oooh Chiropractors? http://whatstheharm.net/chiropractic.html
perhaps they prefer goats.
Much Much worse....goats are worse...
anyway I agree with you that chiropractors and physiotherapists offer the best chance of recovery.
if you look at my xrays closely, you will see a few of those titanium ( yes thats right) screws are broken, and the reason they are broken is due directly to a over zelous pyshical theripist who said to me,,,i know more about your spine than you or your doctor do,and he refused to look at my xrays,,those screws were an experimental surgery, hadnt been done to that time,i was stupid and went along with what the PT said, and now im 99.99% disabled for life and when i asked my friend at the distric attorneys office what i could do?...he said sorry,he (the PT) is protected...
Wow, really to bad, Daveroo.
I would have immediately said, "Thanks, but no thanks!" I don't let any PT?Chiro touch me until we both have seen the xrays, and he can show me the out of position disk/vertebra. And then he explains clearly what we are going to do.
First, let me say that getting medical or legal advice in a forum really isn't the best thing to do.
I've heard very good things about inversion tables. They might take pressure off the damaged area. Ice also works wonders as it reduces swelling. Usually swelling causes the pain. A combination of inversion and icing seems to work in some cases, and it doesn't involve drugs or manipulation or surgery. Also, taking a B-100 multivitamin twice a day will help alieviate nerve pain. A B vitamin is more of a food than a drug. B vitamins are water soluble, which is why twice a day. None of these thing should hurt your back.
And walking is usually the best thing you can do for your back. It's a gentle exercise you can increase a bit each day, as you can tolerate it.
