A Lockheed "Rounder"

I was wondering how the Harpoon was coming along. I can hardly wait. Flight 19 already has plans for this one.

Well, I am happy that we were able to share a "peek" of the Harpoon WIP before Christmas.

Now with the Avia 57, its Float version, and Dash 7 mostly off my desk, it's time for some cleanup and reorganizing.

After a quick bout here to rejuvenate the Howard 500 for TuFun, I will be focused on the Harpoon, the XP47H/J cockpits, and getting the last 2 models of the Dash 7 released when Mike Kelley is ready.

Frankly, after helping Tankerguy72 get the PB4Y-2 out the door, I have been uninspired with the Harpoon. I actually enjoy flying the PB4Y-2 more. Why is that? Why does it seem to lack the same excitement and fun? Well, Nigel and I have been talking about that.

We think we know why, and as a result, we are revisiting out intentions with the Harpoon.

So, what you "peeked at" was in fact a WIP. Keep it and enjoy it while we focus on a different tract with the Harpoon. :jump:

Interesting perspective. My enjoyment is just the opposite. I love the Harpoon and cannot wait for additional developments including repaints. I fly the PB4Y-2 as well, and it is a fine aircraft - but something about the VC and sounds of the Harpoon keep bringing me back for another flight.

I'm not sure what you mean by "revisiting" your intentions, but I hope they don't deviate much from your original vision. The WIP to date is great, and I want you and Nigel and the rest of the team to know that.

No worries, Milton! :icon_lol:

By the way, did you notice that there is a repaint feat. an Italian Harpoon in the Add-Ons Library? (Lockheed Harpoon Aeronautica Militare Italiana.zip) Made by Puddu1985. So far 67 downloads.

Cheers,
Maarten

Matt, the tanker doors?

EDIT: Oh Matt, nevermind; I can just do them using MS Paint. Don't worry though, I'll give you the credits, :)

Bah! No problem ... I'm gettin' it now using all them new tools you taught me in MS Paint. Man, that fancy spray gun gets paint everwher. :) Also I saw that tail needed a bit of touch up so ... :)

EDIT: Nutter question- you didn;t taught me how to paint the backside of the texture so I can get paint inside the tanks ... just whenevr you got time.

i'll have a look tonight Milton, i need to get away from my profile art for a short while... spent more than 90h in the past week working on it....
