A6m3 M22 Released and Ready to Download

Bad news.....

Although the A6M2 and A6M5 FSC files from Ivan will load and display in FSDS2.24, and they will actually produce a working aircraft for CFS2, I cannot find any way to manipulate or change the FSC files in any way. I have created part files and lists. The parts will load, but will not display....except for their axes. I'm stumped. :isadizzy:

Unless I find a solution to this, the grand plan of producing a full-line of Zeros for CFS2 just ain't gonna happen. :weightlifter:

Possible reprieve....

....going to attempt editing in FSDS3.5 and MDL production in FSDS2.24....:typing:

I'm having to...

...reinstall ver 3.0 and 3.51, which I own, but have had no use for so far....since I do not have FS2004, FSX or CFS3. :typing:

FSDSV3 not detect whether FS9 is installed, so you can set the sim to CFS2

for CFS2, the FSDSV3 just using for a 3D editor and FSDSV2,24 for compiling.:wiggle:

I ran into the problem of FSDS3.5 looking for that install, so I'm reverting to the 3.0 version. Film or more questions at 11.

Ivan....Progress!

The FSDS3.0 with the Make Model and BGL SDKs installed appears to be working for me. :wavey:

Let's see what I can do. :typing:

Muuuuuhhhhhaaaaaaahahahahahahaha!

TR,

We'll have to change your user name to Bulldog for your tenacity.

They already hung Gator on me in '62, but when I turned Seminole in '74 that had to go. :amen:

Now I'm trying to figure out how to get promoted from a Semi-Nole to a regular Nole. It seems that this is almost as hard as making it to Col. from LC....before retirement. :costumes:

The poor Zero-Sen is long overdue for a good set of overhauls...including correcting the one-sided textures. Perhaps we can do something about that...with a little persistence.

IF I can make it work, the first one on my list is the A6M3 Type 32 Hamp.
:gossip:

Now where are the normally plentiful 'skinners' when I need them? :faint:

breaking parts?, I like the model 22 is more better! the hamp is only 350 aircraft! and the range is very limitated!, varius model 32 was lost to down in ocean!.

Send it and...

About A6m3 is a old conversion, the only to fix the bug is that archisoft make a new conversion!

...let me try. I think I can re-animate the left gear to eliminate the bug. :typing:

Eureka!

I am able to modify and create new Zero fighter types from Ivan's extracted MDLC objects in FSC format. :applause:

It is an arduous process with a fairly steep learning curve, but I'm moving along between FSDS2 and 3. :jump:

I have succeeded in producing the A6M3 from the A6M2 file without the gear animation bug.

However, she is a long, long way from finished as the MDLC extractions do not come with the DVC or LOD models....so the task of creating those remains. My understanding of the process is far, far behind Ivan's.:faint:

Can you incorporate a wep in this new Zekes. They did had that capability for extra power that has never been incorporated into any Zero that I know of in the Sim World.

Thank you!

You can....

....add any weapon you wish to any aircraft through the DP file. It has nothing to do with the MDL file. :wavey:

I was visiting...

...the Mitsubishi plant, and they asked me to fly the new A6M3 Type 32 without those pesky folding wingtips....so the beat goes on. :weightlifter:

The Allies want to call her a HAP, but General Arnold took offense, so she's known as a HAMP. What the hell is a HAMP anyway? :woot:

She kinda looks like a FW190 with those cipped wings. :gossip:

Double Eureka!

I have succeeded in creating a MDL file from one of Ivan's MDLC Object files in FSC format WITHOUT A LANDING GEAR ANAMOLY. So the original question has been answered: You don't have to tolerate a funky left main gear animation in one of these extraction projects. :kilroy:

I'm rather happy with the initial result of creating an A6M3 Type 32 Hamp from a A6M2, which involved removing the folding wingtips and associated parts and adding a standard wingtip cap along with a resizing of the ailerons. And I am now working to see if I can LOD it...though the frame rates are so high it may not need LODs. I've already got a basic VC installed. The skin is an old one loaded here at SOH representing the aircraft based at Rabaul. :jump:

This is a fun excercise and learning experience rather than an attempt to create another Hamp, when there are already two very fine ones available from Akemi and Lindell. But I am having some fun in the process. :applause:

If I continue to have success, I will produce some serious variations of the Zero-Sen....should there be any that have not already been done one too many times. :typing:

Many thanks to Ivan for making the project possible. :medals:

OOPs!

Tango,

A6M3 Type 32 should be using the new cowling looks like A6M5's

Now I'm really confused. :help:

Ahhhh, now I see what you mean. Referring back to Post 52, it's the profile of the cowling you are referring to, not the stack positions. :wavey:
