Highpockets,

What do you mean by "index" files? :dizzy:

H.p. .............

.....those folders are in the main body of your install. Open up your main CFS2 folder and look down towards the bottom. You will see files Waypoint_index, str_index , AIRWAY_INDEX, ICAO_INDEX, LAT_INDEX, INDEX_FILE. These can be removed and will regenerate with a clean file when you re-start the game.

As I'm going along with this reinstall, a couple things didn't come out right or load right.

1. When I compared my Scenery cfg file to yours, I had a extra Area and some of the Area towards the bottom had False instead of True values. I changes to match yours; would that be correct?

2. When I looked in my C:\Users\XX\Desktop\CFS2 Scenery\AF_BnkrPak.zip\AF_Bunker_Pak\SCENEDB\INF\texture there are only a few that you can see a texture can't open any of the others-see pic \\\\NOTE just checked those files under veh and they are the same.

Is there a texture package that can Be downloaded?

3. When I try to download the Alpha He 115, can't find.The link wouldn't open. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/downloads/download.php?lloc=downloads&FileID=4387

re: index files-
Thanks, Rami.
I saw those there but never knew they could be deleted and
would regenerate. I was "schooled on the filelist and CDP files, but not those. :applause:

1) Post your scenery.cfg and let's have a look-see.

2) There are 32 bitmaps in the AF_Bunker.zip package, and thirty-six .bgl files. My guess is Pen32Win used the same texture file a few times here and there. You can do that.

3) Yes, only the AF_Crate.bmp shows up when you preview the folder. The other textures are valid, it's just the way they are coded.

4) You should only have this folder installed in the "inf" folder, not "veh." (Vehicles)

5) I don't recall using the He-115, what are you trying to fly?

It (He-115) is in the required downloads for what I'm installing now. Thought I would start again with something easy(Wrong) Operation Leader; They are all hard.
I figure if I keep at it might get the hang of this.....

Still working on the 486th in other ETO

Easy Flier,

1) You can make a copy of your scenery.cfg, zip it up, and uploaded it in a response as an attachment.

If you want a campaign you can fly "out of the box," (at least I think so...) give Captain Kurt's campaign (the 354th Fighter Group) a try with a clean ETO install.

Easy Flier,

The good news is...your scenery.cfg is perfect so far.

And, no, you don't need a new install for each campaign. The idea behind a big campaign like the 486th is that many of its parts are used by numerous other campaigns in that ETO era, so after the torture of setting up the first one, the others become much easier because you'll already have 75% (or more) of the materials you need.

I recommended perhaps a clean install because you seemed stuck on trying to get your install working...it might be easier to go step-by-step and see where the problems lie.

You can remove the stock aircraft except for the Hellcat and Corsair, they were both used by the Brits. The Lightning was used by the Americans. However, if you're going to do that, remember about how to check and make sure to alias any aircraft that uses the stock Zero gets re-aliased, etc. (See post #31)

Can someone tell me where and what this is? Coming up missing in the missions see pic

Roger That,
I've already been adding my on sound files, as I hate a twin engine A/C sounding like a Zero. I've got the 486th working in the other ETO install. I just need to figure out what campaigns go to what install.

You guys have really been a big help, and it is APPREACIATED:applause:

Blood_Hawk23,

What campaign is this? I need to have some clues about the files you're trying to download.
