SOH ADMINISTRATIONIt IS a 32-bit app. but it should run regardless of where you install it.
Have you checked the "Run as Administrator" in FS9/Properties/Compatibility ?
Can't think of anything else to cause that to happen. I have been on 64 bit system for several years and never seen this.

Lemonadedrinker's path is really the safest way to get FS9 installed in Windows 7. I use: C:\FS Games\Flight Simulator 9.
Just be sure it does not go into either the PROGRAMS FOLDER or the X86 FOLDER and it should work for you.
