Here's a heads-up on our latest project - it's the Thruxton Jackaroo - what ? I hear you mutter - .

This aircraft first took to the British skies in 1957 ; a total of 18 being built by Jackaroo Aircraft Limited at Thruxton. Its uncanny likeness to the D.H. Tiger Moth is because they were modified from them by mainly rebuilding the fuselage to accomodate the wider cockpit.
Here's a 'first-light' preview of the beauty. it's shortly going off for the F.D.E. work before being let loose on the beta testers.

flown in this girl a couple of times and is based not 8mi from here, will be seeing it again in June most likely for the Farm strips bi-annual 'wings and wheels' event. it's owner is a good chap too, phone in and get Prior Permission and he'll let you have a wander around :)

any plans for the straight spine and crop duster? *starts sniggering and ducks to avoid incoming aircraft parts*

This aircraft can just about be described as 'cute' but the crop duster is just plain ugly. :banghead:

I've said it before and I'll say it again: IMHO, anything with wings is beautiful. Doesn't matter how "ugly" it may appear to some.

Ineresting bit of trivia for you, the chap that devised the spray mechanism for
the crop duster, ran our local model shop when I was a kid.

The Thruxton Jackaroo has long been high on my list of all-time favorite aircraft names.
